"We didn't move a few houses down from a crime scene again, right?"
" We didn't "
Technically the truth -
'Family Hanging Out'
Me: oh okay
'Family HANGING Out'
Me: oh crap -
So props to the director for actually caring about his cast enough, to fire the first guy, and hire a guy who would be able to make sure they are safe and the scene is done right.
-
Funny little story I'll share. I was in grade 9 when this movie released and live in a pretty heavily forested area, one of my friends went to go see the movie late at night and rode his bike to the theatre. He told me the next day it was one of the scariest experiences of his life as he had to ride his bike through pitch black forest trails for like an hour to get back home.
-
Family: dies
James: Thank god the dog was left alive -
“Promise me we’re not living a few houses down from a murder house” “I promise” I mean he didn’t lie tho
-
James always being hung up on the use of 'hung' instead of 'hanged' is one of my favorite recurring gags.
-
"The movie begins with a hanging" followed by an instant kill graphic is both the funniest and darkest thing I could think of as a way to start the count
-
Sinster: the one horror series where staying at the murder house is actually a good idea.
-
“The movie begins with a hanging.”
OH BOY. -
The intro of the Stevesons getting hanged lives rent free in my brain to this day. I went in expecting a more intense movie than the other supernatural films of the time but the fact that it just gave you ZERO time to ease you into the snuff film vibe really shocked the hell outta me. Might be why it’s still my fav of the genre.
-
This movie has been scientifically announced as the scariest movie of all time. Audience’s heart rates were higher than any recorded reaction for any movie.
-
Imagine getting brutally murdered just so some guy can call you the worst kill
-
When a normal person has a nightmare: Oh my god I never wanna go through that again
When a horror writer has one: B I N G O -
The dog not attacking the killer was a clue that he was familiar with the killer.
-
13:03 has GOT to be my favourite tape. The rest are just kills, but that one was a great jumpscare that still gets me, AND a gruesome kill. Top tier horror
-
Let's be honest, "Mr. Boogie" sounds like a character from a kids show that teaches kids how to dance, and you know it
-
The killer looks like a slipknot member
-
In my opinion, the scariest jumpscare in this movie is when Bughuul jumpscares Ellison in the attic when all the creepy children are there, runner up would be the last tape with the lawnmower
