The MV is basically about two marginalized people (IU is deaf and Tae is blind in one eye) who are persecuted for loving each other. It's basically a metaphor that "different" people can't love each other. At the end, when IU realizes it's the end (because the cube was going to disintegrate them), she covers Tae's one eye so that this won't be the last glimpse of their life together. It's so sad and beautiful at the same time... I need the two of them to act in a drama together! PLEASE, HYBE! PLEASE! Edit: Guys, the official interview regarding the meanings of the clip has come out and it has been confirmed that IU is indeed deaf!

Did you watch IU's Pallet when Tae was a guest? They were talking about acting and he told her he really wanted to try this concept from the series "The end of the f.. world", that he wanted to play a roll like the main character of that series. Couple of months later... we got this MV💜

The metaphor in the MV is that people considered ‘imperfect’ are judged and treated different by society, so that’s symbolized by the cube hunting them and others who aren’t perfect, and because no human is ever completely perfect an apocalypse happened. The camera was showing them what life could be like if they were “perfect”. Such a beautiful MV and song!! I’ll be waiting for the day Tae stars in another drama!

I genuinely cried (unusual for me) when she covered his eye at the end. Her voice is incredible. They were great acting partners, and I’ve been torturing myself watching this over and over.

I knew this mv was going to be excellent, but I didn't expect it to move we all like this. The tenderness (almost innocence?) between them was so disarming. And then the hopelessness of it all... I was so immersed that I could feel their fear and despair.. V and IU's acting and chemistry are so excellent. I loved the fact that Taehyung was not the stereotypical fearless male lead. That man was terrified (he acted it so well!!) and that made everything, including his moment of bravery, feel even more real.

It been a long time since i once see something sad and beautiful at the same time, they have a great chemistry and her voice is charming, I really like the MV.

Apparently the crowd in the wedding scene is actually mocking them, pointing their fingers, trying to destroy their happiness, criticizing them, and booing. But they are ignoring them. Bcs these two love is stronger than what others think. Love Wins All.
