This is how it happened in real life children. Man developed as a society due to a giant walking rock that taught them how to plant grain and then threw himself in a volcano.

He saved the world, but no one even knew he even did that. "Thank you, you're a good rock."

Considering the age of this video, I doubt Mark will ever see this. But the ending of this game brought a quote from Doctor Who to mind: "Only in darkness are we revealed. Goodness is not goodness that seeks advantage. Good is good in the final hour, in the deepest pit, without hope, without witness, without reward."

This game still breaks my heart. This wise, all-knowing stone man watches years go by in seconds, yet he loves and values the world so much that he travels for miles, something he may have NEVER done in his life before. He enjoys watching society evolve around him, but knows he must keep going if they’ll ever survive. Finally, he makes a sacrifice that may not have killed him, but forces him to wait forever inside a volcano, to never see the sun or sky or plants or people again. But still, he’s happy, knowing that the world above will be blissfully unaware they were ever in danger. Unaware that they were ever so loved. Aaaand I just depressed myself.

11:25 I think that the grave is a tribute to us the players bc we are travel through worlds curious of what we’ll find in each new game and bc it doesn’t specify the gender and the name bc it can be anyone
  • 6 years since this came out. It hasn’t felt like it at all. The message of this game shows. Time goes by fast, and if you aren’t ready, it’ll hit you in the face

Waking up one morning, Ricky the Rock senses a great catastrophe coming in the far future. He turns around, his gaze fixed on the large volcano in the distance. "Time to rock'n roll."

...He's not dead, he's sleeping... He's not DEAD, he's SLEEPING!... HE'S NOT DEAD, HE'S SLEEPING!! hugs knees

I wonder, if you were to reach that grave with the least amount of time spent, having used your years and even seasons fully optimally, then the grave wouldn't be there but instead the traveler would actually be there alive, waiting for you, but you can't waste any unnecessary time. Maybe.

“I’m wandering the world trying to solve the problem of this calamity.” Legend of Zelda? Calamity ganon?
