To the comments saying spoilers. I understand you want to be spoiler free & I try keep things generic. This is just an extended version of the release cinematic of Inarius beefing with lilith.

The man killed his son and tried to kill the mother of his child. I'm surprised how the characters thought after seeing this that the prophecy was still about Inarius stabbing Lilith, rather than Lilith stabbing Inarius, "then came a spear of light, piercing Hatred's heart", Inarius didn't stab Lilith through the heart with the spear of light but rather the belly, Lilith did stab Inarius in the heart. Inarius was the heart filled with hatred, hatred for Lilith, Hatred for his son, for Sanctuary, for mortals, for himself, and for the choices he made.

I was always impressed with what the humans were capable of in this battle. They held their own as long as they felt like Inarious was there to protect them, even though by the look of it he really didn't do a lot to help them, since all he was worried about was Lilith, and getting back to Heaven. It's unfortunate that their spirit broke when Inarious fell. Maybe one of these days the humans of Sanctuary will realize what they are capable of on their own, and not rely on the power/protection of an angel or a demon to lead them.

The overwhelming regret and sorrow in Inarius' voice as he stabs Lilith, and then the mental breakdown he has when he realizes he'll never be allowed in Heaven again is S-tier. Such a great voice actor!

I love the angelic tendrils Inarius has. Make him seem like a truly otherworldly being.

Best line ever : “Silence is their Judgement”

Blizzard, for all their missteps, have always owned the cinematic game, and this shows they're still at the top. This may be the best cinematic I've seen from them, ever. Absolutely incredible.

Say what you want about Prava, but that praying in the middle of battle on the front lines, that devotion, fanaticism, having nothing but complete faith, or lunacy whatever you wanna call it, was badass. Brilliant writing

The voice acting is wonderful. We can feel the pain from Inarius.

Man I love how they do angel wings in Diablo. It’s so creative and so cool
  • @mastergecko1178
“It was so human for Inarius to think the prophecy was all about him. Or, perhaps your kind inherited that vanity from him.”
  • @LSThrowaway
Prava's fanaticism almost winning on sheer faith over the forces of hell was incredible. Then it all turning on itself when Inarius dies, just incredible
  • This game desperately needed an entire act dedicated to a flashback of Lilith and inarius and what led up to the downfall of inarius
  • @josephjohnson5415
I just enjoyed Prava getting dragged down by demons as I found her to be the most annoying NPC in the storyline.
  • @IamMonikaDLC
"You belong in Hell!" -Lilith She's not wrong, anyone that would kill their own son for selfish means is heading there 100%! Lilith deserves like a Best Demon award!
  • @chrisconroy3430
The pain and helplessness in Inarius’ voice is palpable.. incredible
  • @Marvolo14
One detail I like is when he charges and she turns towards him she puts her hands to the side presenting her bare abdomen in a "Here I am. Take your shot." kind of gesture. Maybe she felt that if he could kill her she would be at peace with it, but if he failed she was going to kill him. So she didn't even try to resist. Just welcomed either outcome after learning of her child's death.
  • @Rejisama
This was like a scene straight out of an epic movie like Lord of the Rings! Definitely one of the most awesome game cinematics ever!
  • @ShinigamiAnger
This kill at 5:16 is epic, it really shows how badass those fighters were... until their faith lasted
