India is a briliant move! The most populous country in the world. What a potential market for the future!
  • Talk to people from Siemens. They have built factories in India and have long experience working there.

As far as affordability goes I think India is ahead of Canada in number of vehicles purchased…but they are different models

Indian business ethics are different. They tend to say whatever it takes to get the deal and then do what’s best for them after you’ve signed.

I'd say FSD might work in India subject to the following caveats: 1) It can't be too hesitant or it'll never move with all these little three wheel cabs swarming around. 2) Some places may NEVER work for India.... lol. I remember one instance (in the countryside) where our driver had the car tilted toward it's side (along the bridge side structure) as we were trying to traverse a narrow bridge with traffic going both ways.... and pushing in from all angles at both ends. Better to work on a flying car for some places. LOL. All that being said, I wouldn't be too worried about the cows. Yeah, they sometimes stop traffic.... but they're just four footed pedestrians. No problemo...

Ahhh... I see the problem.... "Reuters reports...".

FSD in India? I don't see why not. It might even be easier. You just need a destination and the car will just "flow" toward it. The code isn't handwritten anymore so why would anyone think it would be a problem?

India will be the next China in terms of economic strength in 30 years, with a democratic political system. It would be wise for Tesla and the US government to build strong ties with India now, for prosperity for both countries in the future. Visiting India for a edu-vacation is definitely on my bucket list after I retire.

Good location to export from especially right-hand drive locations

5% of Indians can afford a Tesla that's more than 75 million people so the market's bigger than Australia..... 20% of the Indian population can afford a Compact Tesla that's like 300 million potential customers

Hello Brian. Just speculation on my part, but is it possible that Elon is holding back more factories and expansion until his new pay package is in place? I mean, if He runs all the production numbers to the moon before his new pay contract is in effect, it would just make it that much harder for him to 10x the company or whatever goal is set for him. Better to keep the business numbers low until he has a new contract, and then really crank it up!! Plus, he's working for free right now, it's really not fair to demand maximum performance from him. Either way, I hope his pay/ legal issues will be resolved soon so we can all move forward.
  • The first factory may be a megapack factory. Tesla will have to build out the charging stations to support the cars.

If they build a plant in India its gonna be the compact Look at there traffic. We got nothing on them . Most of the automotive industry there makes cheap really small cars and a lot of 3 wheelers .
