I remember calling home school kids weird… right now that’s the best/safest option for these kids.
  • Sadly, bullying is ignored by school staff and administrators nationwide. Allentown School District, in Pennsylvania, does nothing until there's a physical altercation. Then they suspend everyone involved, regardless of whether the victim retaliated or not. "The bully hit you, and you didn't hit them back? We don't care, we're still suspending you." Which just PROMOTES violence: if you're going to be suspended anyway, there's no reason to NOT retaliate.
  • It is not just the school that needs to take accountability, it is society in general.
  • @UP_URANUS
This would have been prevented if the school was designated as a "no stabbing zone" 🤔

It’s a shame that schools have to deal with this! Protect students!

You had me at defunding the school police !🤣🤣🤣

Some students know exactly who did the stabbing. They need to speak up right now and tell what they know. This secrecy among youthful witnesses needs to stop !

When did high schools turn into a prison yard. The public school system is a nightmare, I feel so bad for the teachers and kids. What a sad world we're living in these days.

Honestly, they need a well-known, quality detective. Please get Inspector Gadget on the scene.
  • That's really sad your kids are not safe at school anymore what is this world coming to may god bless those kids 🙏
  • I used live in SoCal and graduated from Inglewood High back on 1970. What happens in schools today is frightening. But I have to say this. Where I am currently living, it's fairly safe for the students here. All the schools have a Law Enforcement Officer on site every day. It's a closed campus. And I needed to go pick up my grandson today because he was sick. The first door is locked, but you communicate with the front desk and the door buzzes. Opens and let's you in. Next you have show valid ID, which you scan and they take your picture. Your child is then allowed to come out and you leave. Unfortunately, bullying still happens here, but the school board and administrators do not tolerate it, and parents are called when it happens. But administrators who don't do anything need to re-evaluate their career choices, I think.

I work at a courthouse with juveniles. This kid yesterday just got off on murder. The judge has a history of letting black kids off. We need to start holding people accountable. This is getting ridiculous.
  • I can't imagine living in the city and raising a family. It was getting bad when I moved out in 1977!

I love how the reporter just glossed over the fact that the school board voted to have the police removed from the school. I had to rewind it to be sure I heard what she said. Disgusting
  • If I would have acted up at school , back in the olden times, I wouldn’t have been able to set down for a Week. My father made it perfectly clear that I was to go to school to learn and he also made it clear that I was not to interfere with the other students’ learning.

America lacks discipline. I started school in Europe, and emigrated to the US in 6th grade. I was shocked at the behavior of American kids. It was unreal to me. Yelling at teachers, using curse words, stunning selfishness, it was unreal. Lack or respect and discipline teaches individuals to be selfish. And selfish people become violent when they don't get their way. We see it everywhere in America today, and it all starts with education. And things are getting worse, not better. This country is doomed.
  • They said they walked out during recess!?! What high school has recess!?!? My kids haven’t had recess since elementary 🥺
  • Class of 2007 here. I am deeply saddened to see the kind of school John Marshall has turned into, or is it our society in general? 😢 I had many great memories here that I will cherished forever… Stay safe, young barristers!
  • I went to school in South Central in the late 80's when there was a lot more shootings and stabbings on campus. For the price of a couple of school police which cost tax payers over 350k each we could have several teams of security guards. At my school we had school police on the outside and security guards that knew all the students on the inside. The guards knew all of the gangmembers, all the trouble makers and the good kids. It's not that hard to make a school safer even in those days.
