Can you trust male pre-school teachers? is a question many ask.
"I was very stressed," recalls Lorbert, who started as a teacher with PCF Sparkletots and is now a centre manager with Carpe Diem. "I had to make sure I didn't do things that parents would feel awkward about."
What do preschool teachers do? To Lorbert, it’s about giving the kids not just a nanny but a father figure to look up to. Shaping young minds is the most rewarding part of the job for him.

It’s so adorable seeing some of the kids call him “papa”. It just goes to show how important he is in their lives that they see him as a father.
-
He's basically being a father figure to many kids, I don't see a problem.
-
This dude would of been the best father ever
-
Sucks that we live in a world where a Male pre-school teacher is news worthy
-
Honestly he seems better than some female pre school teachers ive met.
-
Made me rly sad that he and his wife can't have children. It's always the best people who are deprived of being such great parents. 🤧
-
My son was crying a lot in his playgroup until a male teacher came in and would play with him like a 'boy'. My child loves him so much he would stop crying at his presence. I think males are capable to be in childhood industry. So don't give up!
-
Not being able to hug the children seems a bit extreme I'm a grown ass man and I still hug my dad , grandad and closest male friends. It's endearment and makes you feel cared about
-
I love how these children have a positive male influence in their learning environment.
-
His effort to fight the stigma of male teacher is incredible! I believe he's even better than most of the teachers because of it, proving once again that any occupation can be done regardless of your gender.
-
I have a friend who was a teacher. He said parents always had issues with him being around kids, and he said it hurt him a lot. He had to quit eventually, and I felt really bad when he said this. He is one of the sweetest guys I know, and people accusing him of that.... Really upsetting!
-
It sucks that he gets suspected just becuase he's male.
-
“Mommy, I got bit by a mosquito!” “THAT DAMN MALE TEACHER!!!”
-
I am a male preschool teacher too! and seeing his video makes me proud of myself!
-
The title sounds like he's part of a human species who are only born every 100years
-
The fact that this video needs to exist is disappointing. We shouldn’t have to call “male pre-school teachers” as such- they’re just pre-school teachers, and they deserve the same respect as pre-school teachers who are female
-
“Sexism against males doesn’t exist” Seriously this man is a delight, I’m glad he has this job
-
it’s kinda sad that he can’t be as affectionate with the children as female teachers but i understand why he does it and i respect him so much
-
"Lorbert, how many years you want to stay working as pre-school teacher?" Lorbert: "Yes"

I’m also a male preschool teacher. I was in China when I started and response was exactly opposite there. Back in the USA very similar to this guy. But I work with my wife - so it’s slightly easier for people to accept me. Sorry you couldn’t have kids. My wife and I got my one son, but health complications made it impossible for us to have more. Working with kiddos is wonderful. Applaud you bro! I’ve been a surrogate dad to many kids over the past decade. It’s an honor.
