I’m a white guy who was blessed with an opportunity to play at NCA&T. I try to tell people about those homecomings. Greatest homecoming on earth. Never will forget those times. Some of the best moments of my life.

Unc and Ocho are national treasures. On another note, when Southern has their homecoming here in Baton Rouge, the whole city is lit up. There isn't anything like it. Us white folks don't do it big like that. Everyone looks forward to Southern homecoming, no matter your race, ethnicity, or anything. There is just something special that everyone loves. The energy and atmosphere is second to none

My daughter went to Tennessee State and she was an Aristocrat. Me and my mom were excited about homecoming! It was the best experience ever!

This fall why don’t you and ocho do a broadcast from an HBCU homecoming. That way you can increase your viewership possibly by tenfold.

I can say I was there too, my freshman year at SSC in 88 was one of the highlights of my life. Bostic Hall baby…..Good to see Shannon killing this podcast game. That homecoming Shannon and the boys dropped 77 on Morehouse. Shannon brought back a lot on memories with this one.

Love hearing some shouts out to the hbcu bands and recognition from unc and ocho. Being in one myself, its the best experience and the reason for attending hbcu

Shannon, my brother, homecomings don’t have an age restriction. HBCU homecomings are the bomb (reunions, football, camaraderie, the bands, etc…), and there’s something there for EVERY age demographic including ours (50+). It unfortunately sounds like you’ve been depriving yourself of this experience. It’s a new year - make 2024 the homecoming that you return. I’m more than certain that your fellow Savannah State alumnus will welcome you with open arms.
