Riding in the Medina River Natural Area // San Antonio, TX [EP 81]

Published 2021-04-04
While in the San Antonio area, you need to check out some of the amazing natural areas that surround this bustling city. The Medina River Natural Area is a 511-acre property on the southern part of San Antonio that has 7 miles of trails with interpretive features representing the El Camino Real wagon trail. Come stroll or ride along the Medina river under a canopy of pecan and bald cypress trees, and then explore a completely different landscape along the high ridge with cactus and honey mesquite on the open plains. At the trailhead, there are services including ample parking, restrooms, a large covered pavilion, and staff building.

  • Great vid, and glad y'all got to enjoy some riding here in my city! That trail will take you all the way to downtown, so those e-bikes are well suited for it.

We love to watch y’all’s videos. We cannot thank you enough for sharing your adventures and travels. Your sincerity to help and share definitely is shown - it is good to know there are people like y’all still in this world. We are newbies to trailer camping (even though we are retired). But we tent camped for years. We cannot wait travel to the state parks in your state as well as hit the Bass Pro shop headquarters- what a video. Plus now we know. More about the San Antonio area even though we have been there several times. Thank you again -God bless
