Mr. Sibal speaks to former Supreme Court judge Madan B. Lokur, former Chief Election Commissioner S.Y. Quraishi and former BJP MP and minister Subramanian Swamy about the Supreme Court’s judgment on Electoral Bonds. A constitutional bench struck the opaque political donation system down as illegal but a lot more needs to be done to level the electoral playing field which is now heavily skewed in the BJP’s favour.

Great interview of our elderly intellectuals sharing their views for saving democracy in the matters of electoral bonds in view of the upcoming Lok Shaba elections in India. Congrats to our elders. We respect you and follow your thoughts seriously in times of elections in India.

Such an enlightning conversation without the steroids of bravado and insults. Refreshing. By the wau, never imagined Modi will unite Swamy and Sibal. He is definitely not a divisive figure. If anything, he is able to unite even the opponents. Having said that, what they are talking is absolutely correct and should be taken to the right forum (the Supreme Court). They are capable of doing so.

Most respected n LEARNED senior advocate of THE SC Mr. Sibbal is highly appreciated for bringing this unique discussion openly before the concerned conscious citizens of the country given from the eminent personalities who are well versed on the subject. Mr Sibbal deserves due thanks for the same .
  • We are a 5000 year old civilization. We have faced crisis numerous times, but we have survived all odds, simply because there always existed people like these four personalities. Hat's off to all of you.
To me, you will always mean hope and truth and courage. And truth always prevails.

Dr subramaniyam swami's reaction is like "thats exactly what happened " 😂
  • @anupamsircar111
I don't think the SC will force SBI to submit the details within the deadline. I think the judges there are very cunning. They will "scold" and appear to be "strict," but finally decide in favor of BJP.

A wonderfull and worthy discussion by wise men on present scenarios in politics, electoral bonds, role of courts.. and so on.. I am of the strongest opinion that its the POLITICIANS of this country that made worst to this Nation and became obstructionists to fulfillment of the dreams of our fore fathers' about independent India.
  • @Shbrind
What a great discussion from this knowledgeable people, thanks to all of you…
  • Such type of debates are the need of the hour. Sadly our electronic media are inclined to other unwanted things.

Great discussion among great minds, who listen to others, put forward their opinion in a sensible manner, talk candid and calmly, respect opinion of other person, talk with facts and data and the biggest thing is SMILE because nowadays people have forgotten to smile and show hatred to other person in the discussion panels directly in discussions.
  • Very Intellectual discussion.
EVM is the most imp issue. I don't know To whom my vote has gone ?
  • @123james7
This is superb discussion 👏. Knowledgeable people . Hope news channels learn from them
  • The most amazing discussion presented by Mr. Kapil Sibal.
There are a couple of points not touched upon by the panelists. " A 10 year ban for any corrupt politician '. Also a " 10 year ban for any politician jumping ship to another party ".
This would ensure clean politics for any party.
  • Now everything is crystal clear. How together they are creating this dangerous trend. Very sad state of Indian democracy and function😢😢😢😢
  • @thevikas_com
This was a beautiful panel. Thanks for setting this up.
  • "The political system is throwing up people, who think that it is legitimate to do an illegitimate thing. And they feel that the political system supports that illegitimacy! And they are not answerable to anybody. And this according to me, is the real problem of our politics today! If you don't have men of character anymore..., very few of them at least..., who can stand up and say the right thing even in Parliament. This is a very sad state of affairs!"

    Bang on !!!
Very well said Mr. Sibal, hats off to you!
  • Wov it is wonderful for the first time in a discussion of the kind I see dr. Swamy is like this
  • If SBI don't disclose this report. It is duty of Supreme Court should postpone the election until the report come to the public for fair election. Or put the president rule untill the report comes.
