Best Electric Sports Cars

The electric car market has expanded over the last few years as automobile manufacturers that join the fray add a new spin or twist on existing ideas. While the modern electric car is intended to be an energy-efficient way to get around, engineers quickly figured out how to maintain that efficiency while allowing some new models to stand out from the others to look luxurious and sporty with high performance.
So let’s check the list of all-new electric sports cars that stand out in terms
of performance, efficiency, agility, and of course, speed.

INTRO - 00:00

1. Porsche Taycan - 00:47
The Porsche Taycan is a four-door fast grand tourer that’s slightly smaller
than the company’s existing Panamera model but is certainly not the lesser
car of the two. In fact, it’s no stretch to say that Porsche has infused its first
electric car with all the hallmarks of its best mid-engine efforts. The Taycan
possesses fine body control, a rare balance, superbly calibrated operating
controls, and palpable steering precision.

2. Lotus Evija - 01:51
Although this supercar is yet to arrive, and it will be officially launched
during the summer of 2021, its exterior takes cues from the race car to dominate the track. The car's sheet metal includes elements such as butterfly doors and a large rear wing.

3. Audi RS e-Tron GT - 03:04
This bold-looking electric sports car has deep engineering ties to the Porsche Taycan. In fact, the two slinky four-door grand Turismo was
developed alongside each other and share a cutting-edge 800-volt propulsion architecture that allows faster charging and helps ensure
performance stays consistent.

4. Aspark Owl - 04:08
Aspark Owl is an all-electric sports car manufactured by a Japanese
engineering firm, Aspark. The hypercar, Owl is a compendium of state-of-the-art technology, design, and functionality, mixed with a genuine passion
for beauty.

5. Rimac C_Two - 05:20
This all-electric supercar boost specs that make it seem like something out
of a futuristic concept destined for production in decades to come. The
power output is claimed to be 1914 horsepower with 1696 lb-ft of torque
which is enough to make the car sprint from 0-60 mph in 1.85 seconds with
a top seed of 258mph. Most electric vehicles tend to suffer from a major
drop-off in acceleration at higher speeds, but that's not the case with the
C_Two.

6. Pininfarina Battista - 07:26
Much like the relationship between the Porsche Taycan and the Audi RS e-
Tron GT, the Pininfarina Battista shares much of its hardware and software
including its powertrain with the Rimac C_Two but will present as the more
outwardly luxurious, more GT-oriented machine of the pair.

7. AC Cobra Series 4 - 08:22
Revived British sports car brand AC Cars is losing the big-displacement V8
for its 1962 range-topping model and replacing it with a 617 horsepower,
738 pound-feet of torque. The most eye-watering figure is that the car will
weigh just 2,263 pounds, which isn’t just light by the standards of the
electric performance cars but also implies a power-to-weight ratio that is
stratospherically high.

8. Faraday Future FF91 - 09:19
The Chinese start-up Faraday claims to be taking a different approach to
car production that mirrors tech giants such as Apple. It sees its large and
luxurious FF91 sports car as a platform to sell digital services, and no doubt access data, as much as a car. Even so, it's certainly a quick online platform. Its trio motors develop 1035 horsepower which can go from 0- 60mph in just 2.2 seconds.

9. Genesis Essentia - 09:59
Genesis Essentia is an all-electric high-performance sports car
with a transparent hood, creating a line of glass line that sweeps over the
car, from the grille into the windscreen, over the roof, then down over the
rear window. It also has butterfly doors that are unlocked and actuated by a
fingerprint sensor and a biometric facial recognition system.

10. Lucid Air - 10:59
While Tesla has established itself as the preeminent electric vehicle
automaker, Lucid Motors is currently best known for supplying batteries to Formula E race cars. Now, the upstart company looks to challenge
luxurious and sporty alternatives such as the Porsche Taycan with its all-
new 2021 Air sports car.

11. Lagonda All-Terrain - 12:02
Aston Martin’s Lagonda All-Terrain is ultra-stylish, supremely luxurious with
a state-of-the-art look. The All-Terrain is so sporty that it's two electric
motors powering it are mounted close to ground level, one on each axle
which makes it has a low hood and allows constant airflow through its
frontal area to cool the batteries.

I just want a two seat convertible EV that costs less than $60k, has a 200+ miles range, and can hit 60 in 6 seconds or better. I don't need a hyper car.
