Glad I was a wild child of the 70's.! So much better than being a child these days.

Thank you for this. I'm probably in the minority but I think McDonalds should bring back the McDonaldland characters.

I remember those Halloween toys ..those days were the best. ..
  • @PH1FER
Ronald McDonald sounds like Jim Carey in a couple of those
  • @BerserkGoblin
Egh, Ronald is so creepy. If they ever revive the mascots, they can keep everyone else (Hamburglar, Birdie, etc) but they need to have Mac Tonight as the main character.

They took a LOT of artistic influence from popular children's TV shows, of the year/decade. I didn't realize until now how similar the styles of certain 90s commercials were to shows like Barney, Mr. Rogers, and other public access shows especially. (thinking now, it's probably because PBS shows were more likely to be recognized by children than cable shows, at least until the early 2000's when Nickelodeon was extremely popular, and which the franchise ALSO created derivative content based on with their animated series which LITERALLY HIRED animators who worked on Hey Arnold, As Told by Ginger, and Rugrats).

HR puffinstuff creators could have had their own places and Comercials based off their show but they instead decided to sue McDonald’s
