Deep Waters 1948 Dana Andrews & Jean Peters

What an endearing movie, so glad I watched. I'm so thankful for the old movies--takes you back to a more genteel time where innocence and morals were more commonplace.

I grew up in a fishing town but when I had my children I ran to Colorado, middle of the states, to get away from the sea. So much loss and broken hearts - the sea, she doesn't give back what she takes for her own... I made a mistake and my boys have paid for it. What a beautiful movie. Every scene reminded me of the life I had had, even as a girl - I miss the smells, sounds, and visions of it all - Thanks for putting this charming film online, I wouldn't have missed it for the world! 💕

This is the best Channel for the old B &W movies. You can have the movies made today. The early 40s thru the 50s were the best for suspense, mysteries, love them. Thanks for bringing some nostalgia back for us.

love love love love love love love this movie! the boy is simply darling and the woman taking care of him is soft and caring though she tries to be so stern. i am so glad i stumbled upon it!

Can't go wrong with a Dana Andrews flick.

A real true story of how the state and a few people can change people's life my Dad of course the power of love it shows the heart of Americanism, for a mistake of self dought and the ability to know where the heart is. To know to never give up no matter what to keep trying and when the cards are stacked against you, the faith in the heart will determine the outcomes of life. I presume that how life works at times as difficult the circumstances are not to give up, I owe it to get my Dad back home from the greedy charity businesses(greed)and courts, I must never give up as my Dad never gave up on me no matter what this story really helps me to see that good things do come true as long as I keep a good clean heart and not to give up minutes before the miracle happens. My Dad sad he was lonely and couldn't understand why he is not at home it tears me up but I will not stop fighting to get you home. Thanks for posting this movie, I know I'm on the right track.

Enjoyed this Dana Andrews movie. Although he looks different, he reminds me of Sean Connery. My dad talked about Dana working at the Van Nuys gas station that he went to. To help Dana study music full time, the station owners bought an interest in his future acting/singing career. It was better than a gov student loan.

Never saw this one before & I really enjoyed it; various moments touched my heart & brought me to tears, especially the sweet ending. Dean Stockwell as a little fellow who played Donny did a superb job. Dana Andrews is one of my favorite actors. Every time I see him, I can't help but think of him in My Foolish Heart with the lovely Susan Haywood. Thanks for the upload. Keep the good ones coming!
