he will probably bet on hilmself, not wanting a long deal after a bad season. probably 2-3 years which makes him expiring RFA.. AVG 43 points a season. I think it;s gonna be a little bit less than Martin Necas got with his bridge deal, which was 3 mil. I imagine something around 2 years at 2.4-2.6. No reason to trade him. none.

I would sign him to deal with case to if depending on who we get in the UFA market or trades, draft. He's not an untouchable

I like him a lot, but he has not proven enough to be worth a big contract. I think it would be in everyone’s best interest for him to take a bridge deal and then see what happens in two or three years.

Still a lot of untapped potential

The Devils just had too much of a good thing and that's young talent. Too much to know what to do with or use properly. With that being the case and if I'm weighing the value between Mercer and Holtz, I'm choosing to bet on Mercer. 2-way hustle player with speed and skill, who at 22 has a better overall team mindset and still hasn't missed a game which is something that seems to be overlooked. Best ability is availability.
