  • Nissan: we have to change the entire car to fit the regulations Toyota: you could use the fuel tank
  • @MrWalciesie
No one seems to remember GT3’s red Viper GTS-R Team Oreca :(
  • @Space.Folding
To me it just feels weird that the Team Oreca Viper is not considered amongst the other GT titans of the PS2 era
  • @RichRacerType4
Thanks to the sad ending of this video, I now demand the Nismo GT-R LM to return to Gran Turismo.
  • @brandontan2335
34:13 "BRAD KESELOWSKI, WON THIS RACE" Fun fact, Brad Keselowski also broke 4 records with his win at Darlington: His 3 year long winless streak Winning in a RFK car, RFK being co-owned by himself and he last won in a Team Penske car The first the #6 car has won in NASCAR in 13 years, last won by David Ragan at Daytona Ford's 2024 winless streak across every single major racing series they have participated (3 of the races being lost in photo finishes against a Chevrolet)
  • @ziqqerlad
man the ending is even sadder when i thought about the Nismo R33 GT-R LM race car livery had that sticker on the door that said "Keep The Dream Alive". hits harder than it already is
  • @alrecks619
fun fact : the Ford GT LM Race Car (and Spec II) are the only cars with racing gearbox in Gran Turismo 4 that don't make a whine sound because they are actually set as "standard" gearbox despite being fully adjustable.
  • @WhiteRoseUS
Oh, we're eating good today. New Roflwaffle video and 41 minutes long!!!
  • On 787B: I feel like this car is the most misunderstood racer for some reason. I'd roll my eyes every time people think that the car is "so fast, it's banned" (while the R32 Group A actually existed), but to be fair I used to believe more on the "not meant to be reliable but it won by sheer luck" angle. Regardless, I applaud Mazda's engineering team to create the most balanced and reliable race car that gave them the win they deserve after years of attempts. On Skyline LM: That image of the road car driving to the sunset will forever be ingrained to my head. Fun fact: I actually traced one frame of the scene for my thesis defense years ago. Kinda shame that we haven't got the road version Skyline LM in GT7, even the race version, and the fact that the race version wasn't fully licensed when it appeared doesn't help either.
  • @NuclearHeadshot
Fun fact, 4 is the big unlucky number in Japan. Quite brave of Polyphony to feature that number on a hero car.
  • @storyexe243
Rip in peace Nissan GT-R LM. You were in one game but left a hell of an impression for that one game
  • @RamsesGT3
Cant believe this guy didnt mention the Viper with the Green Lights "Shaking My Had"
  • @10eesct23
Even though the GT-R LM was forgotten in the gran turismo series, it shifted to the Forza Racing Games, having appeared in Motorsport 7 and Horizon 3, 4 and 5 with a Forza Edition variant in Horizon 4.
  • @Mycroch
These are definitely GT icons, but I think you missed some other ones: Dodge Viper GTS-R Team Oreca and Chevrolet Corvette C5-R Pagani Zonda C12 Pink Vitz
  • @jakekoehler1
    Escudo is curiously missing?!?!?!??!?!??!!??!?!
  • @fportobr
Excellent video and the nod to the R33 GT-R LM at the end was perfect... it left a big impression in me as being the first car to appear at the intro of GT1 and the last, at the final video (I swear to God I was crying as "Second Chance" played in the last scene, as the LM disappears towards the sun). Thanks to this, I'm a big fan of the model and scored a 1/18 scale of it from OttoMobile to include in my diecast car collection. Shame Polyphony Digital apparently forgot about it while Turn 10/Playground Games added it to Forza.
  • @gregor3000pl
I wasn't expecting to hear Ground Zero Funk in a Gran Turismo video, an absolute banger.
  • @JohnCharb87
The iconic car for me in GT3 has to be the Team Oreca Viper GTS-R. That red livery on the viper is eye popping. Not to mention at the time it was one of the most dominate race cars of an era.
