I love how despite being a ruthless Warlord big boss is still merciful when the soldier surrenders

This is SO good! Seeing the TX-55 in action like this soothes the perpetual phantom pain… This MSX MG adaptation continues to be an exceptional effort!

"This just in, local man singlehandely keeps the msx metal gear games legacy going" For real tho those games deserve as much love as the solid series.

THAT ACTUALLY SCARED ME WHEN THAT GUY WAS SURRENDERING, I DIDN’T WANT HIM TO DIE
  • @Paragon._.
I like to think that Metal Gear TX-55 was trying to reverse engineer Huey’s schematics of ZEKE and Sahlenthropus, which is why it looks less like the MGs we’ve seen before MG1
  • @RamChop451
Once this is finished, it'll honestly be the definitive way to experience the original MG

I'm not gonna lie, after all these test footage videos being completely silent, the sudden burst of music in this one actually startled me XD

Never thought I'd see the TX-55 look so menacing without a major redesign. Seeing it slimmed down a bit and leaping around like a freak is exactly what we need. Love the soundtrack choice, by the way. You are clearly a man of culture.
  • For anyone asking the song is called Genocide and it's from an old OVA called Genocyber

This soothes my brain so much, all I could think after MGSV is "If Sahelanthropus was already a thing, what can this thing do besides remind me vaguely of REX?" Be really fast. Like scary fast. Taking out all those combatants so quickly is impressive, and the jump height and run speed and even turning speed are terrifying. It even puts REX's Street Fighter Mode to shame. And knowing it's a prototype of Metal Gear D makes me wonder what that was capable of. These animations are glorious even if they make me ask if Club Penguin is canon in Metal Gear, thank you for these.
  • There's a lot of positive things I'd like to say but I'll focus on the portrayal of MG. It's awesome, even terrifying. In the context of the series, TX-55 is not the coolest Gear ever but it's still incredibly dangerous and this animation shows why. I also really like that instructions on how to surrender were given through the animation on a video screen. Metal Gear can be deployed against any army from any country, speaking different languages, but the meaning behind this cartoon can be understood by everyone. Really enjoyed this work!
  • It's funny to see this now, I was having a chat with a buddy of mine the other day about why having legs alone makes Metal Gear more dangerous. This animation demonstrates the versatility of MG's legs perfectly, and in a few ways that not even Rex, Ray, or Sahelanthropus did.

Man I love how much Big Boss is just toying with these guys
  • Many critique sahelantropus for being too "modern" of a design, however whan many fail to understand was that Sahelantropus was 24m tall when standing upright, Peace Walker in bipedal mode was huge, 25m tall and the ZEKE would be around the same height as those two... These machines were huge, probably in order to accomodate the nuclear launcher (Peace Walker) due to being made with parts form the Peace Walker AI-Weapons (ZEKE) and in order to be a large walking bomb (Sahelantropus). What many forgot is that Sahelantropus is the pinnacle of Granin designs, if we take a look at Granin's designs they are basically showing the Metal Gear REX, that's no coincidence. "Huey" Emmerich was given this designs and used them as basis that's why ZEKE is very "REX" looking, and that's the reason behind Sahelantropus's head and "folded" pose. The TX-55 was tiny in comparison 6.05m, it was a miniaturization of the concept of Metal Gear, an attempt at the concept by a new developer, one who probably never even touched Granin's designs, his sole interaction with the idea probably being the wreck of the Sahelantropus, the Battle Gear and Walker Gear. This new developer was tasked or saw the Sahelantropus as to big, and complex, as such he was drawn to the Walker Gear, he enlarged it and improved it's mobility, however armor to the legs had to be sacrificed, that's why there is little armor in the legs in both the TX-55 and Metal Gear D.

The icing on the cake? Imagine the context of how dangerous both Solid Snake and Big Boss are KNOWING THEY DESTROYED THESE METAL GEARS ALMOST SINGLE-HANDEDLY. Great animation please keep this up!
  • @AndrejDukic
Absolutely gorgeous. Some of the best action animation I've ever seen. I hope you're planning on adding legit sound. Would love to see it.
  • @Resterminador
I love that you take this tx-55 and you make it a terrifing metal gear , this model its scarier that ST-84 Metal Gear Sahelanthropus because ST-84 was basictly a metal gear to slow and too heavy to operate, but this TX-55 looks soo flexible, its like a gigantic version of a Gekko in MGS4
  • Im so happy that you are still doing this project, you deserve all the praise.
  • @Evangelion543
Oh man, hearing Genocyber theme gives PTSD. That show was brutal
