We’re breaking down all the biggest moves in NFL free agency so far, talking about Travis’ latest trip abroad, what Jason’s been up to in his first week since retirement and so much more!

But first, Jason and Travis react to the news that they won “Podcast of the Year” and “Best Ensemble” at the 2024 iHeart Podcast Awards. The guys also talk about their upcoming trip back home to the University of Cincinnati. Stay tuned for more details!

Then we check out some fan mentions, first from Drew Brees who announced he’s sponsoring 13 scholarships for walk-ons in honor of Jason’s 13 NFL seasons. We also got a shout out from “Forged in Fire” judge Doug Marcaida who invited us to the forge!

Next, we get into Travis’ latest trip abroad to Singapore and what Jason has been up to since officially deciding to hang ‘em up, including becoming Beau Allen’s personal Uber driver.

And lastly, we get into all the biggest moves from the start of free agency, beginning with Russell Wilson’s decision to sign with the Steelers and Kirk Cousins signing a huge deal with the Falcons. We then talk about all the Chiefs roster moves so far, including Chris Jones’ record big pay day. Jason then weighs in on the news coming out of Philadelphia, highlighting Fletcher Cox’s retirement and the Eagles signing Saquon Barkley! We wrap things up by talking about some of the most surprising moves and all the running backs that have new homes in 2024.

It's such a unique community with Swifties and football fans both being here. As a lifelong Chiefs fan I watched this podcast since day 1. Once the Swifties got here it introduced such a fun and new perspective to the NFL and the podcast. I love the mutual respect both fanbases have for each other and I love the combination. So many Swifties watch football now and it makes me so happy. For decades this was a "man's game" and I think that really hurt the inclusivity of the sport. So many women, and little girls, watch and it's the coolest thing. I love the no dumb questions segment because it really shows how many people have a real interest in learning the sport. Hats off to all the Swifties.
  • Jason, thanks for speaking on the importance of band programs in schools! As a prior band kid, I can't even explain all the lessons that band taught that I still use today!

As a long time football fan I honestly would never enjoy a football podcast and certainly not go into a comment section of one because it was alway just trash talk and negativity. Each fan focused more on tearing down others than lifting up the people they agreed with. This is the first football podcast where everyone is so positive and happy to be here. The vibes are immaculate and I hope your podcast continues to shift the football conversation in a positive direction for future podcasts and players

The Kelci brothers are my nine year old grandsons favorite players. He had to write a thing in his class who he would invite to eat lunch with. He of course said Travis and Jason Kelci. He also said he would ask if they would play catch with him. To top it off he said he would ask Taylor also, because his sister really liked her and he wouldn’t want Taylor to get bored. I think my favorite part was we live in a little town a little ways from Kansas City. I thought I would comment what a nine year old kid thinks of you guys.
  • 😂😂😂😂I’m dying😂😂 On the #1 podcast, Jason has to get up and let the dog in. That’s part of the reason these guys are #1. Down to earth. Livin’ life. 😊 🐕‍🦺🐾
  • 76 years old and now a Swiftie and GO TEAM CHIEFS so I am learning about Football and listening to amazing music and this is my Go To Podcast......Thanks for all things positive

Hearing a pro football player talk about how much being in band helped him in his life makes my bank geek heart swell with pride!!
  • @dianemackey
That was an awesome move by Brees! What an incredible and meaningful way to honor Jason's career. I hope we get to see the winners on a future podcast.

Jason and his saxophone would be an ICONIC surprise guest during the Acoustic Set of The Era's Tour. It would literally break the Internet, just sayin'! PS. Congrats on a well-deserved Podcast of the Year Award! 🎉
  • Congratulations to Jason and Travis for the best Podcast and all their hard work. Thank You to all the 92% which includes our new Swiftie Family for making this an amazing community.

  • Jason's comments on the value of learning an instrument and how that carried through with his learned value of practicing and learning/improving in sports! ❤ Congratulations on the Podcast Award!! 73 year old and love all I've learned about football from listening to you.
  • Guys, I work with a woman who absolutely loathes anything to do with “sports” let alone pop music. However, she has your podcast on at her desk 1st thing on Wednesday mornings. THAT is how you win an award - it’s YOU, not what you talk about!

3:59 THE WINK! OMG. I haven't swooned for Jason before, but now I see what Kylie is so fiercely protective about! <3
  • I couldn't be more proud as a Singaporean that Travis enjoyed his time here ❤❤❤ Please come with Jason next time, we love you both!! Congrats on being the BEST podcast ever GO 92%ERS ⭐️✨️🗣
  • @jabrooks1989
Travis fully believing he can forge a Samurai sword is the reason why he’s the greatest TE of all time 💯🤣
  • You two are the best. I love that you both see things like normal people. You are famous and wealthy and you still take in places (the way Travis described Singaporean). You can tell Travis was genuinely impressed seeing new things. Still not taking it for granted. AMAZING!!!!!!!

I was the first person in the history of my high school to play on the football team - wide receiver - and play in the school band - baritone saxophone. Now, I graduated high school in 1987 and the school opened in 1952, so to be the first such person after 35 years was kind of a big deal. Normally the band played at half time of all the football team’s home games, which was something I never got to experience. Which is why I’ll never forget our last home game of the regular season in my senior year. With coach’s permission, there I was at half time in all my football gear (except helmet) playing my baritone sax as the band performed a medley of tunes from All That Jazz. It was such a fun experience. Since then, it has become a tradition that any football players who also play in the school band get to play with the band at half time of the last home game of the season.
