After being a Dear for four years, my first thought is that he looks so young here. He was only 22. He's almost 27 now, and believe it or not his vocals have gotten even better. He continues to study to this day. The first time most of us heard him do this was on Singer, a Chinese singing competition for professional singers. I prefer that version because it was a more intimate venue, the performance was heartbreaking, people were crying in the audience, and because we watched ALL of China fall in love with this young man after only one song. Kazakh language courses filled up, every TV program in China wanted him as a guest, and every time he performed in Kazakhstan, the audience was half full of Chinese fans who flew over just to see him. It was like the early years of Beatlemania. In the 4+ years since, he has never once let us down. I can't wait for you to get to Ogni Pietra, but you can react to anything he does. They're all too astonishing for words. I subscribed immediately. It was great to hear a fun and knowledgeable reaction. His register changes really ARE kinda hard to believe, aren't they?
