Jonny Greenwood murdering those strings so hard he should get 20 years without a chance of parole

I absolutely adore the strings in this album.
  • This whole album feels like being on an airplane, looking out the window, feeling like you’re on top of the world. But in a melancholy way. Does that make sense?
  • unbelievable song, when i first listened to amsp this song hit me the hardest, the way the strings get so loud it actually drowns out the rest of the song and almost hurts your ears, its honestly cathartic genius, its a painful song to listen to emotionally and physically lol i honestly adore this song

I'm not crying, it's just that there happens to be glass in my eyes
  • Over 2 years ago my sister passed from a long battle of cancer. A year after her death, I had just started to feel the effects of grief. It was the beginning of my junior year in high school and I was so numb. I would wake up and start listening to songs of this album, walking to school on cold fall mornings with overcast skies everyday for a long while. Never shed a tear. Just remained quiet listening to songs like this. Sometimes I come back to listen again like I am now and can’t help but get a feeling of sorrow, whether it be mild or deep. Doing well today, but this album is haunting for sure.

Hey it's me I just got off the train A frightening place The faces are concrete grey And I'm wondering, should I turn around? Buy another ticket Panic is coming on strong So cold, from the inside out No great drama, message coming in In the oh-so-smug Glassy eyed light of day Glassy eyed light of day Where the path trails off And heads down the mountain Through the dry bush, I don't know where it leads I don't really care And the path trails off And heads down a mountain Through the dry bush, I don't know where it leads I don't really care I feel this love to the core I feel this love to the core
  • I remember having this song on a loop in my head while crying in an airport in San Francisco. It was a really low moment but somehow it was also kinda beautiful, like a feeling of release and being healed at the same time. I always think of that day when I listen to this song now.

Why can"t this song last forever? And why tf is this album so underrated? It's a fucking masterpiece
  • Underrated gem in a pile of diamonds “So cold from the inside out” gets me everytime
  • @Despairity2

This is the most hauntingly beautiful piece of art I have ever heard. I can’t express how much this album means to me

I had a Dark Side Of The Moon epiphany when I was 16. I've never experienced anything like that musically before or since. I would go to bed with a song from that album turning in my head and wake up with the same song still turning in my head. That has never happened with any other song from any other artist until this song right here totally captivated me a couple years ago. Radiohead has now surpassed Pink Floyd and every other band in my life if I added up all the hours I've listened to music over the years and this track is, to me, the greatest song by any artist released since 1997, when Let Down was released. There, I said it.

I have a deep connection to this song. It’s probably the most relatable Radiohead song for me. The song is obviously about social anxiety and just anxiety in general, something i have and is still struggling a lot with. This song explains it so perfectly. The train station being a “frightening place” and the “and i’m wondering, should i turn around?” and also “panic is coming on strong” just hit so hard. This song is just so good at explaining how draining anxiety is. It’s so hauntingly beautiful.
  • @SenorMango
This song is pure Jonny Greenwood. Put this on The phantom thread soundtrack and you will know what I'm talking about

AMSP makes me feel like i'm inside of a good dream

This song was my alarm during one of the worst periods of my life; I would always let the tune play entirely before getting out of bed. I'll always be extremely fond of this track.
