Mandisa left behind a great collection of music filled with uplifting messages. Check below for a few of my personal favorites. “Only The World” “Good Morning” “Overcomer” “You Wouldn’t Cry” “Praying For You”

Her death was announced on my phone and I went to YouTube and couldn’t find anything on her. Yet you came through with a great bio and tribute within hours! You have talked about your own struggle with depression and I know it is hard. But your journalism talent is the best! Continue doing what you do and I pray for more subs today and in the future. Amazing work and thank you.

She was so beautiful. No matter what soul. I love her and the way she handled the situation with Simon. I can't tell her to rest in peace bc I know she's walking around heaven all day and singing with the angels! Such a beautiful soul and voice. Sing, Mandisa, Sing!

The way she handled Simon with so much poise and Grace, made her even more beautiful than she already was inside and out. 🙏Prayers for her family!

Her song "You Wouldn't Cry For Me" has taken on a new meaning in light of her passing. R.I.H. Mandisa❤

I picture God standing at the gate as she arrived throwing his arms around her and welcoming her home.💚💙💜
  • That’s why we need our fathers to be fathers. The struggle started right when her father picked up and left. Very sad for such a beautiful person.

Thank you for doing this wonderful tribute to Mandisa! What a beautiful woman and a beautiful spirit! As a plus sized black woman myself, her struggle with depression and being overweight hits home. I love that she eventually persevered beyond the criticism and lead a positive life. At the end of the day, she was still human and so that means we are not in this world without continuous trials and tribulations. There’s only so much we can take sometimes. I believe she wholeheartedly did the very best she could to be a great human being. I wish we had more people in the world like this. I never heard anything bad about her. May her memory live on in those who truly loved and appreciated her. She was the ultimate OVERCOMER. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾😢❤💐
  • The stigma of depression and anxiety in the religious community aka church is ridiculous. God puts certain people and resources in place to help you heal.
  • I know of many, MANY Christians who struggle with insecurity and depression and there are many people, even the prophets who were depressed in the Bible, especially as they saw the people not responding to God or leaving behind His ways. God bless you, Mandisa, I am glad you are with Jesus now! Our world is broken and this is NOT our home, it's easy to be depressed here!
  • I too have dealt with depression and most definitely food addictions. I've been overweight my entire life. I sympathize with the struggle she faced and don't wish it on any one. Her music gave me strength and will continue to do so.
  • I really admired Mandisa. Loved her music and her testimony! Prayers for her family and friends. Whoever did this video tribute did a really good job! Thank you.
  • I never really knew her but you brought her to me I feel… My birthday is Oct 2nd just like hers I’m plus sized it’s a struggle when it comes to pursuing music in the industry… I’m a singer songwriter & I just don’t want to give up… This has inspired me…

Such a beautiful soul. She was transparent and real. Many suffer from depression and it is never talked about in the church!
  • @ZayBae87

This one really hurts. So young and such a light in the world. I know everything in God's time, but this one feels too soon. Just too too soon.
