What's really cool about Tom speaking at Oxford Union is that his husband, Lance has spoken there also. I wonder how many couples can say that.

Tom personifies so positively the younger generation, showing that you can be in the same time high level athlete, youtuber, openly gay... and being liked and respected as such. Definitely inspiring !
  • Started tearing up when he talked about his dad 😞❤️ And now he‘s a dad himself with little robbie and lance forming a family 😍❤️
  • I watched this after he won gold. His determination and his dad guided him to that gold. Tom Dailey is the world champion
  • An extraordinary speech delivered without a note before a most demanding university audience. They don't come more difficult than Oxford undergraduates and Tom holds them spellbound! How many young people can do that?

I’m here after he won Olympic gold 🥇 at Tokyo Olympics ♥️♥️♥️♥️ Tom the golden boy ♥️♥️
  • @fiesty161
Tom is always the same where ever he is. What you see is what you get.

Tom proves yet again that a university education is not the only path for all young people. He has succeeded beautifully in life without one. The fact that he is invited to speak at Oxford is proof of this. Well done, Tom. Follow your hopes and dreams always.

He's, quite simply, so very special.. Hard not to love him!!
  • @TyroneBeiron
Wow. He and Matty Lee just won the Gold in Tokyo 2020 in July 2021. I wonder why this talk isn't being shared with more youth...

This young man is mastering the art of living his true self! Bravo Tom! Please, always be you! Of the billions of rays of sunshine, your one ray shines on so many.

Are Tom and Lance just full on orators now? What a fucking power couple.
  • @jaydee8872
Outstanding talk, Tom. Articulate, funny, sincere, humble. A real champ
  • @finacahya7476
He is an athlete but looks how he delivers the message and speech like he's a pro speaker

the fact that i’m watching this literally a year later in 2019 the day after i watched lance’s address at the same place i love them
  • I don't know where I have been, I knew Tom had come out but never really paid much attention or followed him. Then I saw him win the gold medal at the Olympics and when I saw him accept the medal and saw the tears in his eyes I was like wow. Then I started watching his videos and saw what a true inspiration he really is. He has given me a new perspective on life with his positive outlook on everything. Thank you for your motivation when I am at my lowest point in life. You have truly made a difference in my life. Thank you sir.

Just found this having read Tom's story on the BBC news app, what he has gone through in his short life and now being the most decorated British diver, you have to admire him, time he was recognised more, MBE or OBE, or better still be Sir Tom Daley
  • @TemuulTK
He is absolutely brilliant. What an incredible man.
  • @jphd81
Nice speech, and full of humor. I like when Tom said at 39:42 "Diving is a pretty gay sport, realy". Hilarious !!!
