ICANN’s signature is like a notary’s stamp. Or more specifically, there’s a bunch of notaries who can all stamp things, but their legitimacy is proven by a license stamped by ICANN itself. If you find something notarized by someone who themselves is licensed by someone who themselves… following the chain down to the root signer, if the root isn’t ICANN, it isn’t legit. If the root is ICANN, then it is.

I love David since he was in Android Authority team, and now I love him more. He is a really Tech enthusiast and savvy.

I noticed that the IP addresses shown at 5:31 are out of IP range. Each octet has a range from 0-255.

I love having David presenting all this info on I C A N N and all the steps involved within cryptographic security. Your channel teaches me more about technology than I ever learned in school, way way back, yes way back before there was a public internet and yes way before there were personal computers. Thank you all, and thank you, especially David in this video for giving such a clear, reasoned, easy-to-understand presentation here. ICANN could be a great plot feature in a Mission Impossible or Oceans 11 style movie.
