I'm a software engineer and it always makes me reaaaally happy when people like you explain the foundations of the internet in "non-technical" terms (even though the viewership here is fairly technical)! Really well done, good job!
-
I can see this channel evolve to things the studio finds interesting and making videos about those topics. I'm all for it
-
Being someone who has worked with DNS and Hosting servers and the fact that I knew ICANN made this video super interesting! Kudos
-
As a Security Engineer, this is so beautiful for me! I'm genuinely amazed. This made me so happy. What a wonderful video! So here for more videos from The Studio!

Studio channel is just blowing up crazy interesting fun stuff

ICANN’s signature is like a notary’s stamp. Or more specifically, there’s a bunch of notaries who can all stamp things, but their legitimacy is proven by a license stamped by ICANN itself. If you find something notarized by someone who themselves is licensed by someone who themselves… following the chain down to the root signer, if the root isn’t ICANN, it isn’t legit. If the root is ICANN, then it is.

I love David since he was in Android Authority team, and now I love him more. He is a really Tech enthusiast and savvy.
-
I noticed that the IP addresses shown at 5:31 are out of IP range. Each octet has a range from 0-255.
-
I love having David presenting all this info on I C A N N and all the steps involved within cryptographic security. Your channel teaches me more about technology than I ever learned in school, way way back, yes way back before there was a public internet and yes way before there were personal computers. Thank you all, and thank you, especially David in this video for giving such a clear, reasoned, easy-to-understand presentation here. Did you guys have some more fun while you were visiting in Culpeper, VA?
-
more episodes like this please. i love it. never knew this ceremony existed.
-
this was super fascinating. having worked in IT for over a decade, i'd recommend this video as a good starting point to how the internet works.
-
The audio quality in these inside videos is phenomenal.
-
Ok that was really fascinating! Would love to see more like these
-
Loved seeing David's style from his personal channel being brought to The Studio!
-
As someone who's about to start their career in IT Security, this was super interesting to watch! Great reporting here from David.

Weird IPs….
-
you know this is going to be the next plot for a Dan Brown novel: Internet Keys, Streaming and Bank Heist.
-
ICANN could be a great plot feature in a Mission Impossible or Oceans 11 style movie.
-
Really enjoy this style of relaxed investigative journalism. Very easy to watch despite breaking down everything so comprehensively
-
Oh wow. YouTube recomended me a good piece of content for a change. Knew this ceremony existed, but had no idea it's that public. Nice. Thanks.
