XMen 97 just tried to kill Wolverine… at least… that’s what it looks like! In the epic Sentinel fight scene, Gambit charges up Wolverine’s claws by turning potential energy into kinetic energy, so shouldn’t Wolverine have exploded? Well, there’s actually a simple answer that has to do with Wolverine’s skeleton and the usage of a “Power Circuit”!

Gambit can do more than just make things explode, he routinely charges his bowstaff to deliver more powerful strikes/ release shockwaves without destroying it, unless they have massively nefted him in this adaptation.

Gambit can shut it down if you recall to the episode when morph impersonated Charles gambit tossed a charged card at Xavier/morph and as morph stood up proving he was a fake gambit deactivates it showing he had control beyond it leaning his hand
