You know a movie is bad when Charlie refuses to Moist Meter it and just trashes it in its own video instead.

I am absolutely elated to hear that you like my milk

honestly, a scary movie style possession story where the demons are really just goofing around and having some silly fun could be kind of a fun watch
  • @reversalmushroom
What filmmakers who use jumpscares don't understand is that startling is not the same thing as scaring.
  • @NotBatman101
This is just such a perfect example of franchise obsession. They didn’t care if the movie was good or not, they just cared about having a franchise they can lure people into the theater with. Absolutely pathetic.

The episode of Courage the Cowardly Dog where they parody The Exorcist and Muriel gets possessed is legitimately scarier than this movie, and that demon was defeated by a dog in a dress chanting "kick 'em in the dishpan, hoo hoo hoo".
  • I would love to see a demon possession movie where the demons goal and/or motivation is actually explained and explored. Like, how does jumping into a human and then just being kind of a gross asshole for a while effect the celestial battle between good and evil on a cosmic scale? I'm missing that part of the narrative and I would like to have it.

Hopefully Hollywood finally understands that going to the graveyard with a shovel every time you need a movie idea is NOT something good

Imagine spending $400 million for the rights to a franchise, then shitting all over it because you didn't want to spend a small amount of that money to pay writers. Unbelievable.
  • @belugafans11
We all can agree that losing 400 million is way scarier than Exorcists movie!
  • @mfenix911
I recommend The Cleansing Hour. It's an above average horror movie where a fake exorcist has to deal with a real demon on a live stream. The main actress does an amazing job.
  • @QuinnGIn1080p
If more people knew the story of what that lady went through with the first Exorcist movie then they'd understand why she was given a roll where no one would notice if she said "no" to it; because there probably was a good chance that she would have said no, or backed out.

Jokes aside, Charlie’s idea to buy Jimmy Neutron and make a series centered around Hugh Neutron is an amazing idea that I would gladly spend money to watch
  • @alexanderg1297
Let’s not forgot that the director of this movie is currently speed running for a world record trying to make dull trilogies out of every notable horror franchise of the last 50 years.
  • @SweetDefeat2835
"good news is its over pretty fast" Oh so its only an hour or hour and a half? "Its 2 hours long" WHAT?
  • @outofideas9985
Charlie should make his own movie, being the esteemed actor he is
  • @DarkwolfX37
Honestly, a demon possession story where the demon just gets bored would be pretty interesting.
  • Most of that money was actually used just to get Ellen Burstyn 😂 They made her so many offers that she kept refusing because she thought the script was ass and finally after they offered her twice as much as the most she’s ever made from a film and agreed to pay for an entire fundraiser she was very passionate about she finally agreed and then she shit on the script publicly months before the release lmao
  • @go_golden
13:20 Constantine did this well, a good 15 years ago. That movie had a lot of issues, but that exorcism scene was excellent, with all the preparation and effort it takes to perform, it really sells the idea of struggling to remove a malevolent entity from someone.
  • I saw Possum's review of it. "Why did the two priests that died to save your daughter didn't let you see the exorcism that would definitely traumatise you for life? Patriarchy". Patriarchy indeed, lol.
