This is also why I love zentangle; the small size lowers the burden tremendously.

This is a fantastic idea using old-school techniques! I say "old school" because I am old and taught school for 34 years using the foldables like this. :-) We called them "Smoosh Books" and they are so useful, even to teach kids how to follow directions, making one as a way to practice procedure-following in Science. I think my first pre-painted sketchbook from your awesome video will have to pay tribute to the Smoosh. It will likely be a cell division or rock cycle theme, made surreal by the colors and doodles! Talk about skills you never knew you needed again after seventh grade. :-)

Thank you for this, in the fast-paced world of reels it's refreshing to see a perfect slow demonstration of paper folding :)

Absolutely fabulous! I can't wait to do this. If you are reading this comment, take her class, it's SO worth it! 🌻
  • Idk if this has been said, but these would be fun to store in a pocket of a homemade junk journal. You could add poetry, quotes, gratitude statements or scripture. I'm doing this tomorrow! ❤❤
  • Thank you for taking the time to share this with the rest of us. I'd like to start a doodling practice and these on the go foldable books will be perfect. I love all things stationary, so I'm planning to make a few books at a time, put them in a traveler's notebook to carry around in my pocketbook...great for taking out with me to the beach or the park or just to have on the go this summer!

Omg! I love that! (I have to thank the YouTube algorithm ! ) after a big burnout while finishing my phd, i totally stopped printing for three years, and i now want to go back to it! I'm totally trying this! Thank you ❤
  • @MartaPeekaboo
I LOVE IT!! I will definitly try this for my summer vacation. I've been strugling for years to build a consistency on my sketchbooks, but this year I have one litte notebook that I always bring it with me. The difference is inmense, I discover myself drawing a lot just because I'm not with the presure of having a long period of time focusing on it. And I really love the ocean theme sketchbook, it is gorgeous!!❤❤

This is GOLD! A way to practice more, practice anywhere and any time, practice mark-making, and using up old paintings! 👏👏
  • What a great idea, especially for those of us who are new to painting and need a lot of practice done in small pieces of time.
  • Thank you so much for all the great ideas. You are right, the blank page is such a creativity killer. I am putting some of your ideas to work today, I especially love the book filled with shapes.

1)Write down a list of things you like including artists to reference from and colour palettes you like. 2)Bring 1 or multiple from this list an ipad pen, drawing pen and paper, pencil eraser and receipts, small set of paint and mini sketchbook/ used containers. 3) Set timings whenever you have the mood even if 10-60 mins or when home fluid art,ink splots, random colours you can paint from. 4) look around you for 3-5 things to draw/ colours to you or pick one thing you want to improve on
  • I will make them all! Thank you so much for inspiring me by showing that making art can be easy and beautiful at the same time.✨
  • I like this technique!!! I am not an artist but noticed that during pandemic I started sketching and actually enjoyed it very much. Since then I have continued sketching. Also enjoy your smooth tone, which is relaxing. Thanks for sharing various inspirations.
  • @lvstewart1737

I have always loved making these different types of maze books. I used them in my classrooms.
