Elite Dangerous allows players to fly in a 1:1 recreation of the entire Milky Way galaxy. The Stellar Forge engine it uses does a magnificent job of procedurally generating star systems and bodies that are realistic, incredibly varied, and take into account our current understanding of planetary and stellar physics.

However, with 300 billion systems in the Milky Way, it's inevitable that there'll be a glitch here and there. One of the most beautiful and well-known of these "mistakes" is Mitterand Hollow.

Mitterand Hollow is a moon in the Epsilon Indi system that orbits the planet New Africa every 1 minute, 26 seconds - well within the Roche limit, and with an orbital velocity that makes approach and landing... challenging.

Due to its popularity as tourist spot for players, Frontier wisely decided to not correct the error, allowing us to continue to enjoy this magnificent spectacle.
