That chin spoiler is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen. I would have the dealer remove it before i drove it off the lot
-
54k is a hard no.
-
The price is outrageous. Especially considering the stiff competition toyota has now.
-
One of the dislikes should have been that you have to pay a subscription fee after buying your $52,000 truck.
-
Even comes with a snowplow!
-
Price is obscene. It’s a major improvement and addresses many of the faults that kept me from buying the last gen (seat and headroom). But for this price I might as well buy a good used full size 4x4. They want way too much.

1st year production of any new vehicle with this much technology is worthy of a cautious purchase.
-
Funny story, in 2019 I bought an 4WD SR5 Tacoma with some options and its sticker was $32k. According to Toyota website an 24 4WD SR5 Tacoma is $42k with NO options. That’s insane. This year a bought a Nissan and I couldn’t be happier with it.
-
Way too expensive for a small truck! I bought my 2022 F150 Tremor brand new for $54,000. I’ll take the Tremor everyday for these prices!
-
I miss the days of simple trucks. I don't need most of the stuff they have on these things. Analog gauges, a Bluetooth radio, and a good suspension is all I want.
-
I would add to the dislikes no rear seat vents. Many of its competitors have them. It's 2024, no excuse for an all new truck to not have them standard across the board on all trims. What a difference removing the chin spoiler makes, looks worlds better. I think that Limited is much more apples to apples to the Canyon Denali in features and price. And yeah, the prices are getting insane.

Looks sooo much better without the snowplow...
-
54K, might as well get the Tundra at this point…I bought a Tacoma in 14 for 34K granted it was an SR5. Then I upgraded to a Tundra TRD off Road for 39K. These prices are insane.

Thank you Nathan for pointing out a major miss concerning the new Taco’s convenience features: “no reach-arounds.” Maybe Toyota will offer such kindness at the first model year refresh.

I have 2022 Nissan Frontier, but I also love Tacomas. My family is a Toyota family and we've always had 4Runners. I always wanted a Tacoma. But when it came time to buy back in 2022, I couldn't justify spending more for less (specs at least) on a Tacoma generation that was going to be updated (same thing with the Ranger). When I saw the new Tacoma, I thought they did an incredible job on its redesign and fixed a lot of the gripes regarding the old Tacoma. But the price for these things is absolutely insane now. I thought I got a good deal and a better overall dollar value for the Frontier against the Tacoma back in 2022, now I definitely am thankful. These Tacomas are great, no doubt, but the prices here are outrageous.

I really can't get behind that automatic tailgate. Seems like an unnecessary complication. It would be nice if you could option out of it on the TRD Off-road trims.

I would take a truck that is not fast 0-60 but reliable and long lasting any day over one that is super fast and does not last as long. I am sure a lot of that is Toyota setting it up to last the longest possible. Also I am not a fan of 4 door small trucks and happy with just an extended cab. If I need to haul people around with a truck I would look into a full size truck.
-
Got the new frontier fully loaded for 7k off. Love the taco but damn it’s expensive and not a fan of 4 cylinder.
-
Great video guys, one of your best!

Finally a boxed frame, why it took Toyota 30 years to do it is beyond me. Also $50k is wild, you can buy a 3/4 ton truck for that much. I just don’t see how the average person can justify spending 50k on a midsize.
