Conflict: As Told by Oblique Strategies

This was a collaborative final project for a media arts class. As a group, we decided to create a compilation of 30-60 second short films where we each create work based on a theme. The theme we decided on is “conflict,” but the catch of this project was that we used specific gestures to help guide our projects. Brian Eno’s Oblique Strategies are a deck of cards containing gestures that would help guide him and his collaborators in creating new sounds. Each person in our group picked a card that they resonate with and used this gesture to guide them in creating a short that revolves around the theme of conflict.
