The unscheduled removal of the barrel isn’t a malfunction, it’s a feature. One in ten shots will have a critical hit by increasing the projectile mass.

That’s a little scary because the RICOCHET could theoretically re-stabilize and accelerate. But it would cauterize the wound so it’s all good.

The Gyrojets were built like a well-made cap gun at best. They used a single cylinder of nitrocellulose. If the rounds were ever dropped, that big grain of powder can crack and cause a more rapid burn rate. Your accuracy was definitely better than what we saw.
