  • People always argue about “which is better” but truthfully, I wouldn’t want to be hit by any of them.
  • The .357 magnum is, to me, the pistol caliber equivalent of the .30-'06. It will do everything you can reasonably expect from a handgun, the recoil is manageable for most people, with practice, and it's extremely versatile.

Nice!!! Personally I thought the 40 cal did very well. But the 357 was a monster .

I have bought, sold, and had access to numerous firearms and calibers. However, the first handgun I ever bought (1976), is still with me and will never be sold or traded. The Ruger Security Six .357 mag. w/4" barrel. Accurate, dependable, and powerful.

I have always loved my .357 magnum! My dad knocked down a charging 300 bear with his .357 when my mom had us picking bluberries.
  • Keep in mind, for 20 years the .357 Magnum was the world's most powerful handgun until eclipsed by the .44 Magnum. It's still and awesome round.
  • That first hole from the 357 was ungodly. That was “instant” neutralization of a threat. Only thing is being able to aim and accurately place on target/threat under duress/stress/adrenaline

I fell in love with the 357 a long time ago it is still and will always be my weapon of choice

First impact of each caliber tells the story. The rest depends on placement.

“I love doing this” he says as he loads the 357 one round at a time. I love shooting and with the ammo shortage loading the gun is like fore play.

Wish all gun channels' videos were this laser focused on providing clear content as to how stuff performs.

I just appreciate the gentleman’s manners. I also enjoyed watching him shoot! Any of these rounds would mess with someone’s day, for sure. I knew there was a reason I always liked my Model 66 S&W .357.
  • You can pick apart the minor differences in damage results if you like. This was just fun as hell. đź‘Ť
  • Remember folks, current .357 mag is loaded about 200fps slower than the .357’s of thirty years ago. This was done when manufacturers began chambering small J-frame sized pistols in .357. Frames couldn’t take it, so the loadings were quietly reduced behind the scenes. Gotta get custom ammo to get those old 1500fps velocities.
  • I guess I'll need a new .357 magnum revolver. You never know when an angry concrete block is going to attack you, and you need protection to match the threat. Thanks for sharing.
