Still one of the greatest bands that ever existed. Tears has ever remained on my New Wave song rotation in my vehicles and home. 🤟

Curt sang a beautiful rendition of Mad World with his daughter during lockdown. His daughter has a fantastic voice also and the combination of both musicians is definitely worth a watch

Both of those men still sound the same as when they were younger. Both have beautiful voices.

I'm surprised you didn't say anything about the unison between Curt and Roland. I think it's one of the hardest things for two singers to get perfectly and they're still nailing it after all these years. 🙂

I had a similar reaction to hearing that performance - it's funny how much I've grown to love this album, which was released when I was 18 and fully engrossed in Heavy Metal music. Even then I had to reluctantly admit that they were really good.

For me, this is THE iconic song of the 80's... awesome vibe, the kind you rolled down your window and cruised the coast, or hills, or on your patio... Their "Songs from the Big Chair" album spawned a few hits as well as this song; their sound is timeless. There aren't many songs that get you to bop along, Bethany, so anyone who's new knows right off, you can appreciate a great groove when you hear it. LOVED your reaction, keep the hits coming; your choices are memory churning and thought provoking.... now THAT takes talented observations and SOLID musical knowledge on which to found it all. PEACE!!

I listened to this song before you where born...I guess, and yet I learn from your reactions and appreciate songs more despite my age. Great reaction! 👍🇵🇭🙏

The drummer deserves 95% of the credit for doing that hihat live. KUDOS!!

Saw them this past summer…and they were amazing in concert, still! Their newest album has some fantastic songs as well!

My favorite song of all times ❤ I don't get tired of listening to that wonderful band...

I saw Tears for Fears in 85 on the Big Chair Tour of which this song comes from as well as The Seeds of Love Tour in 89. My favorite period of Tears for Fears- 83-89. I wish I could have seen The Hurting Tour in 83-84.

I love Curt and Roland. They aged gracefully. I would go see them in concert anytime. I love how you critiqued them, so kind, well, there is nothing negative to say. What a great group.

Gotta say I'm speechless too. I haven't heard these guys since the 80's and I gotta say this is sooo sooo sooo sooo similar to the original. Full credit to these guys after soooooooo long. Welcome to my childhood lady. Luv this stuff.

Wow ! I was prepared to be disappointed for some reason but Curt still sounds amazing. I love how a song can instantly transport you back to the glory days of our youth.
  • @donald2818
Can't believe they sound so much the same still.
  • I'm glad to see these two guys back together again. They ended up hating each other. That tension also gave us some of the greatest harmonies. One of the gifts from the 80's. ✌
  • @SerEsc
That groove on drums blow my mind everytime I listen to this song.

I was in high school when this album came out. I went down to the record shop and bought a cassette tape that Friday. Been a fan since those days!
  • They are my daughter's favourite band. She's 19. Interestingly, she got interested in Tears for Fears when Curt Smith popped occasionally on the television series Psych. He was hilarious on that show. Anyhow, we went to see them in Toronto not too long ago and was amazed at their musicianship and their voices. One of the best concerts i have seen in my many years of concert going. Blew me away.
