👋 I’m a newbie 🌱 I’m in Houston,Tx a gardener ..Fron and back I been only growing for 4 years on veggies..I have always done 🌸 But When the pandemic hit, I started growing veggies for years in and I’ve been doing really great. You’re right the fall and the winter. So much great in the spring is great summer I fight them darn vinebore bugs. So I was gifted those big old pot, said they put in my cactus trees in this food between apartments are new buildings with the trees, friend of mine saw a business coming up and asking landscapers. What were they gonna do with those pots if she could have them so she got about 30 of them and she probably gifted me about 10 through the big 62 gallon garden pots. I’ve been growing in those I have no grass no soil in my backyard so I’ve been doing raised beds kinda high so I can put the soil deep in there. I’ve planted about everything but I’m now this year. I’m only planning what I like to eat. In those containers as well I have a garlic going on now I got onions. I did really good with that cow curly kale collard greens. I just put some spinach and I got a couple of fruit trees and one for 22 years a pear tree that I get real great amount of pairs I planted after my mother I did really great with cantaloupes and watermelon last year so excited I’m out of cucumbers. I really did great with tomatoes after two years of failure last year I did great great with tomatoes I had tomatoes do we got that freezer we had here again 🌱 I don’t like to learn

It's that time again. My Apple tree is blooming already, just hope it doesn't do what it did last year and hard freeze again.

Hey Mike. I'm in the Temple-Belton area, just north of you. We have to break up that heavy blackland clay too. I've added all sorts of amendments and do my best not to walk on it but that clay is brutal. I still have to break it up every year. We could make pottery with that stuff! I'd challenge any no till gardener to try. No need to justify the tiller with me!
  • Glad to see you out there….its been warm here in MI too, but not quite that warm 😂
