  • As a raptors fan I was so happy when we made this quickley deal, I knew he was going to be a great fit as hes got the perfect style of play for our team. Also the raptors have just terrible shooting in general so its way more fun to watch now with quickley.

I love IQ's game. He's the perfect compliment to play beside Scottie. RJ gonna be a beast in Toronto too. Plus that new "big three" have the best nickname, BBQ!
  • I'm sad to see him go but I'm happy he found a great opportunity in Toronto.
  • @maclo4
Ben, I would really love if you made a video on the detroit pistons. I think the fans would really love a deep dive into what exactly is going wrong besides just "roster construction"
  • This might go down as the most mutually beneficial trade ever. It's kind of wild. It could go bad still of course for either side but it looks less and less likely with each game for both teams. Super excited to watch this play out.

Quickley is going to be an all-star at LEAST one time. This guy is something else. He's 1 step up away from breaking out totally
  • @P-DAPS
He's a way better playmaker than I thought. Given a bigger role & chance to run a team, he will show that he can be a floor general

I love when Ben and Cody gush about players who don’t get a lot of spotlight in the league .
  • @Nick77ab2
When maxey and quickley came into the league I honestly thought they were clones of each other, in their playstyle, and thought they'd both get good. Obviously not to the level maxey is at rn, but good enough to be a third (mostly) or second option on a team.

His defense reminds of Steph, but with a crazy high motor and more length: Always in the right position, good on the back line as a communicator, will try to contest everything that makes sense, but with some added length and footspeed. I wouldn't hedge on that All Star nod. Leading a team for 4 years in +/- is... well the list says it all. Very, very rare. That list was ONLY Hall of Fame players plus Korver. I'm also enamored by his fit on Toronto. Their goal seems to be "get the longest player possible at every position". They finally gave up on the idea of playmaking entirely by committee, but they've struggled with what kind of guard they want since Lowry and then Van Vleet left. Out with the meatballs; Quicky fits SO WELL into their existing Length At All Costs plan in a way that Schroeder hasn't. The only thing left is to find a proper BIG big to fight the really big centers in the league and they have an interesting team.

As a Knicks fan I can confirm he will take off, thibs wouldn’t let him ball out and it makes me sad he’s gone. Can’t wait for him to make an all star team
  • @aretheygoodnba
At least in IQ's case, I think that odd ball movement is one of the most important factors in him reaching that Maxey level of play. Not only is he's putting in the movement but like y'all said, his instinct for postitioning is solid. Super fun guy to watch

I love these video clips. Add graphics and video to what you all are talking about. It makes the experience so great. Thank you!

Knick’s fan here. I always thought Quickley > Barrett. After each off season he showed noticeable improvement, got to love someone like that on the team. But with Jalen Brunson settled at PG, it would be tough to find him 30+ minutes that he deserves, also the financial side wouldn’t have worked in NY. GL IQ, hope you flourish into a star!
  • @bazooka4576
Every time I watch this dude i just get shades of Tyrese Maxey… they have such similar play types and just the way they move is almost identical… quickley is going to be a great PG for the raptors for a long time
  • @willg3220
These guys actually put effort into the YouTube podcast clips 👏

Scotty, RJ, and Quickley, that is a really exciting young trio with immense potential. Give them time to grow and gel together. This is the best young foundation that the Toronto Raptors have ever had since Vince and TMac. But this is 3 good pieces compared to 2, and TMac wanted his own team and left. This core can contend in 2 to 3 seasons.
