I'm back for the first real drum cover of 2022, this time it's our favorite English doom boys of Black Sabbath with their titular 1970 single War Pigs off the universally acclaimed album Paranoid, an extremely formative and important piece of work that shaped the future of rock and metal music as we know it today.
This song is tough for a lot of reasons, mainly its length and how homogenous it tends to be on first playthrough, and because of that this cover is actually a composite cut of many takes put together to make one master take. I flubbed up a few fills here and there, and a lot of them were improvised (which I'm sure that's how this song was originally recorded), and I'm clearly not Bill Ward, but I hope I did this song justice anyway. The drum mixing is the best, punchiest, most present and focused mix we've had on my channel yet and I'm extremely proud of it, and I'm glad we got this mix for such an important song.
