this video is an opinion and in no way should be construed as statements of fact. scams, bad business opportunities, and fake gurus are subjective terms that mean different things to different people. I think someone who promises $100K/month for an upfront fee of $2K is a scam. Others would call it a Napolean Hill pitch.

I love the lady. “Stop. Let him talk.” Translation: “Everyone shut up. This’ll be funny.”

The first guy was asking for $175,000 not for the business but so he could pay off the mortgage on his house. He's broke
  • Imagine being ambitious enough to get onto Shark Tank with a pyramid scheme, but too unintelligent to know you're in a pyramid scheme. That's a killer Achilles heel.
  • @kiraina25
I still can't get over the sheer world-shaking hubris of the phrase "here's me, and here's the five Dragons under me..."
  • @destructocid
    “It’s not a pyramid scheme, it’s a triangle plan”
  • she's seems nice, she's just really letting him dig his own grave, but seeming nice the whole time.
  • @coolgirl312
You KNOW the producers of the show, while screening potential people to pitch on the show, saw these auditions and were like "Ohhh the investors would have a field day with them, get the on the show!"

Selling a dehumidifier as a magical water fountain is a scam in itself but then to go on and sell the scam product wrapped in a pyramid scheme/mlm/direct sales packaged is just scummy as hell ☠️
  • watching this man vehemently deny that it’s a pyramid scheme, and then immediately explain the business by drawing a triangle with his hands is peak comedy
  • The first guy literally recreated the office scene where Michael Scott accidentally discovers he’s in a pyramid scheme
  • @perochialjoe
That first dude's first mistake was trusting a 'business opportunity' from his ex wife.
  • @theencolony5595
That first person has the vibe of giving a presentation to your professor, but you didn't study the topic
  • "Its not a pyramid scheme, cuz those are illegal." So is murder, but it happens quite a bit.
  • @amirguri1335
He wasn't trying to scam them. He had no idea what he got himself into.
  • @emilyofjane
The first guy at least tried to avoid the word “pyramid scheme.” The second group literally said it with their full chests lmao

Little PSA here: NEVER drink water out of a dehumidifier. It’s very dangerous and there’s no way any filtration system they have in there is making it safe to drink.
  • Imagine being apart of a scam without knowing it and then realizing it on national television.
  • Plot twist, the sweaty guy IS the product. You hold a glass under his chin and it fills with water.
  • @EvanPoliquin
The water tastes so bad because it's just dehumidifying all that dude's sweat.
  • In the 80's I was working as a Lead Investigator in loss prevention in Chicago. I worked closely with the Lead Detective. One day the Customer Service Manager approaches us with a "cool way to make some extra money". After he explained it to us, we were like, "that would never work - someone at the bottom is going to get screwed". As we investigated it further we realized it was a Pyramid Scheme - and an absolutely MASSIVE one involving tens of thousands of people. So we contacted the Chicago Police and turned over our investigation to them - around 3 months later they made a number of arrests, and broke up the pyramid, which was even bigger than we had thought. And yes, those that we spoke to helping to manage the pyramid really believed in it, and genuinely did not seem to understand that they were involved in fraud.
