Two of my favorite YT Craftsmen working on two styles of shepherd's wagons at the same time was a treat for me.

I watch YouTube EVERY night before I go to bed and have done so for ages. These are easily some of the best videos I’ve seen. Awesome job Carl!

I have watched Dave Engel's videos for years, and have met him once or twice. He is an amazing artisan.

Yes, the Engels Coach Shop is one of the best on YT and the master has a huge loyal following - you have made great strides and being willing to learn means willing to err and refocus. It is a pity about Brexit and the time wasting of back and forth trips!
  • @tomim7187
You are getting masterclass in woodworking! As Jimmy Diresta always says, " You go to school on the first one." Bravo, well done!

Engles Coach is a great channel with a wealth of information shared relating to carpentry, blacksmithing and more. I’ve wondered about applying glue to both surfaces before too and I know that 99% of woodworkers do it that way as well as the product manufacturers instructing that way too.

I know nothing about woodwork, I’ve only worked in metal but can admire your skill, patience and perseverance. I am an architect, live in Germany and enjoy your videos enormously, which btw benefit hugely from your narrative. I can also sympathise with your visa and Brexit frustrations. I wish you the best of luck with this project.

Engels Coach Shop is a great YT Channel. Very relaxing craftsmanship. Nice to calm down after a hard day of work.
  • Welcome back Carl. I've watched Mr Engel's videos for a number of years and was one of those who suggested that you take a look at them to see if any of his experience would assist you. As always, your videos, and commentary, make for excellent entertainment and instruction.

yeah ive been watching engel for over a year now a fascinating craft hes doing there
  • @LewisSkeeter
So great to see two channels I'm subscribed to coming together.
  • Excellent job and thank you. Techniques filed for future reference. I've been watching Dave Engels for years and there is so much skill in that guy and like your good self, really nice too.
  • Thanks for another very interesting video. I can't wait for your next one. It's nice to learn with you. I've been following Dave Engel for years, and he is a real master craftsman.

perseverance pays off. Having tested many glues, I have found titebond products to work well, holding in exposed and damp conditions. Decade back the animal glues really were tricky but essential for reglueing antique chairs where hot air treatment allows one to disassemble and reassemble pieces. Thanks for brightening the day for a very elderly chap.
  • Im seriously considering petitioning the french home office equivalent to allow this man to pump out this sweet sweet content.
  • As a boat builder having experience with both ways of getting wood to bend to Your ideas, I have to contribute that glue-lam is the way better, more consistent, more predictable process when it comes to curved parts. I do adore and love what Dave Engels does to his woods, but I still am a dedicated lamellating-guy ("lamellating" is what the Gougeon brothers call their ways of building all kinds of glue-lam with epoxy resin, including 3D-shperic bowls and boat hulls. They have a great book I recommend for Your growth as a lamellating guy: "Gougeon brothers on boat construction") Thanks for sharing

It’s certainly been a journey (more so for you than for us), but so glad for you that the end is in sight for the roof beams. Your explanations and critiques are spot on, keep the faith. Dave Engels is a craftsman of the old school, the knowledge that he has and shares with us is truly amazing. Long may he continue. ❤🇦🇺
