Planning a trip to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee? Avoid common tourist pitfalls with our guide on things NOT to do, complete with attraction prices. We'll help you make the most of your visit by steering clear of these overrated and overpriced attractions.

- Jungle Ride: This outdated attraction promises an adventurous ride through a jungle, but fails to deliver an exciting experience. The animatronics are old and the effects are lackluster, making it not worth the ticket price of $12.

- Ober Gatlinburg: While it may seem like a must-visit, Ober Gatlinburg often disappoints with long lines and high prices. The attractions, including the aerial tramway and skiing, don't justify the steep cost of $25 for a basic ticket, with additional fees for activities.

- Earthquake the Ride: This ride simulates an earthquake, but the experience is underwhelming and far from realistic. With a price tag of $10, it's better to save your money for a more thrilling adventure.

- Gatlinburg Sky Needle: Despite its promise of panoramic views, the Sky Needle fails to impress due to its limited visibility and overpriced tickets at $15. There are better, more scenic vantage points in the area that offer free or cheaper access.

- Hollywood Star Car Museum: Featuring cars from famous movies and TV shows, this museum might appeal to die-hard fans, but the $20 admission fee feels steep considering the small size and limited number of exhibits.

Join us as we explore these tourist traps and provide honest reviews to help you plan a more enjoyable and cost-effective trip to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Save your time and money for the attractions that truly offer unforgettable experiences!

Finally did the space needle after my 20 years of coming and it was neat. You CANNOT get those views on Clingmans dome. You have 1 out of 15 chances that it might not be foggy over Clingmans dome and it's not even in Gatlinburg. Both are great spots for DIFFERENT views.

At least with Ober Mountain you can drive to the top instead of paying to ride the tram up and down. But to me, the tram ride is the best part. 😂
  • Hmmm...just got back from Gatlinburg and our experience with Ober mountain was the opposite. The wristband was one of the best spends of the trip...bummed we waited until the last day as we would've done multiple days. Mt coaster, ice bumper cars, roller bobsled, tube slide, ice skating, lift to the very top(which was awesome and they were building a new zipline they claimed would be the longest and highest on the eastern seaboard), chai swings, and other jumpy things and a carousel for the kids. The wildlife habitat eas great as well. Maybe some things weren't working when you went??? Don't know...but for our family...Ober was much better than Anakeesta. Everything up on Anakeesta was extra! Only the moutain bikes and ziplines were extra on Ober.

These are the type of videos I want to see. I would like to put my money towards something that is actually worth it. Went to wonderworks last year, it’s overly priced with way too many people. Worst money spent last year.

My son, Wife and I are all car people, and my son is very into KITT, and the Bat Mobile, and DeLorean from Back to the Future. We did the Star Cars museum in 2021. It was "SMALLISH". NOT a big attraction. Many of the cars were cool to check out. For the price, we paid I would give it like a 5.5 maybe a 6 out of 10. Worth doing ONCE IF YOU ARE CAR PEOPLE. If you are not very much into cars...it isn't worth the cost. I am here again in July 2024 for our second time, and I was thinking about doing the space Needle attraction, but after seeing this video, I am going to not bother with it. Also, we will pass on Ober Mountain as well

Dude that's what the Jurassic dino boat ride is all about. You go there for the ridiculous cheese factor. Everyone knows it's terrible. That. Why you ride it, to laugh at the total ridiculousness

Seems to me you missed Anakeesta. You pay a premium to ride to the top of the mountain then have to pay extra fees to do the zipline, and other attractions. Not worth the money. Plus I have been going to Gatlinb urg for over 40 years and the cost of Ripleys attractions and other have quadrupled in the last few years.
  • Speedwerkz exotic car I thought was very cool. I don’t think you realize how rare those cars are. It was definitely smaller than I thought it would be, but I thought it was worth the money if your a car person.

First time visiting Gatlinburg earlier this month and we paid the money to get up to the top of the space needle. That place is very dated and the elevator ride up was a bit scary. I did like the views from up there for sure. I was worried mostly about that building being soooo old, that it would come crashing down. Yikes. The other things in this video did seem Cheesy and not worth the money. We didn't do any of the other ones, thankfully haha. Definitely a very touristy area. Clingmans Dome was a beautiful spectacle! ❀

Saw you guys in Corpus Christi Texas on Sunday.

Hi, I saw your RV in Mustang Island as you were driving by! Looked you up on YouTube as soon as I got home. Can’t wait to see your vlog!
  • @cbhgirl1224
Ober Mountain was in a change of ownership and reconstruction of the whole mountain top family park. Just thought I'd let you know. It will be awesome and everything will be running smoothly.
  • Wait some of the places you said not to go aren’t in another video where you say they are great? đŸ€·đŸŒâ€â™€ïž
  • @kenjepsen4579
You guys passed me somewhere between Houston and Nashville. (I don't remember where lol) like the content. :)
  • @solotraveler3
I'm planning my second trip to the area. Your video is so helpful. I'm glad I skipped Ober on my last trip and will avoid it this one. The only one I kinda want to see is the Jurassic ride - but wow it's expensive.
  • @pointnozzleaway
we just came home from Gatlinburg yesterday. I think we pretty much avoided all the attractions you mentioned.
  • Was interested in the content, which was good. But wasn’t impressed with the language. Doesn’t add anything to the video.
