Too fast for love will always be my favorite crue lp. It defines raw. It's timeless.
  • Excellent ranking… this band was on top the world in the 80s that's very true… agree Mick is very underrated as a guitarist and he pretty much does the heavy lifting all by himself on the axe, no second guitarist to fill in. Theater of Pain is one I've visited the most, something about it!

Corabi's album with the band finally gets some credit years later with fans. Very underrated. I remember buying it the day it was released. There was also a coupon in there to order the rare Quaternary EP. Saw them touring over the years for Girls Girls Girls, Dr. Feelgood, and Generation Swine / Greatest Hits. Tough to pick a favorite, but I'd lean towards Shout At The Devil.

I didn't get into Motley Crue back in the day but I recently found a copy of theatre of pain in a charity shop and am loving it. Great video 👍
  • Girls was my first and still my favourite Motley album 🤘I was at the age where the video clip really made an impact on my teen mind🤣🤣

I really enjoyed this video! Very interesting take on Motley Crue ranking. I was sixteen when Girls, Girls, Girls came out and it was the first Motley Crue album I bought - the rest I had were cassette tape copies. My favorite, at that time was "Shout at the Devil". Here's my version of the ranking: 1. Girls, Girls, Girls 2. Shout at the Devil 3. Theatre of Pain 4. Too Fast for Love 5. Dr. Feelgood 6. Generation Swine 7. Saints of Los Angeles 8. Motley Crue 9. New Tattoo

Shout at the Devil will always be my #1. That album is classic from start to finish. Too Fast for Love at #2. After those 2, things start going downhill rather quickly. The album with John Corabi was pretty damn good though. 1. Shout at the Devil 2. Too Fast for Love 3. Motley Crue 4. Girls, Girls, Girls 5. Theatre of Pain 6. Dr. Feelgood 7. Saints of LA 8. New Tattoo 9. Generation Swine

I'm not a Motley Crue fan but that was a cool ranking, James!

Can't argue too much with that ranking. I definitely agree with you on the Corabi album, very overlooked. I'd probably have shout at the devil at no.1 but you can't go too wrong with their 80s albums 🤘🤘
  • Couldn’t agree more with generation swine it’s absolutely shocking that album! I grew to love the self titled album, I always steered clear of it but once I gave it a chance I was well impressed. Really good ranking mate, I’ve always had the first two at the top but some tremendous tracks on most of their records.

Great vid man - probably my fave you've done so far. I agree for the most part, you've got pretty good taste! I totally agree regarding Generation Swine - it simply blows and that ain't much of a Crüe album to be honest. My fave Crüe album ever is Girls Girls Girls... I absolutely adore it. All songs are hard-rocking masterpieces... aye that Elvis Presley Cover I could do without. "Nona" is great if you get the CD reissue as you'll get the whole thing (extended, full version) as a bonus track! "Nona" means grandma in Italian and Nikki dedicated it to his late grandmother who passed away. The self-titled album is a close second... I can't give a rat's what they say... it slays! The drums sound HUGE and the songwriting is sedond to none. Corabi has that sleazy tinge that Neil just doesn't have. My fave Crüe track ever, however, is "Danger". It gets me every single time and Neil sure could sing great sometimes! Anyhows here's my very own ranking: 1. Girls, Girls, Girls 2. Motley Crue 3. Shout at the Devil 4. Theatre of Pain 5. Too Fast for Love 6. Dr. Feelgood 7. Saints of LA 8. New Tattoo 9. Generation Swine Keep it right up dawg, I enjoyed that!
  • Hey Mr Boulder. Interesting as always. It's not my favorite band, but I have these top albums. I think I would swap "Theatre of Pain" with "Girls...". "Dr. Feelgood" and "Shout at the Devil" are definitely unmatched by the others. Cheers, James!🤘
  • Really cool to see someone put 'Dr. Feelgood' in it's rightful place. Easily their best album, for me. The title track is crushing. The self-titled with Corabi would be next on my list.

i love theatre and it my 2 nd fave from them, cant agree with you about tommys Drumms on this, great Video
  • @raulserrano3670
Awesome ranking. All essential 80s records . My favorite is Girls girls girls . Shout at the devil was the first album I ever bought. I don’t listen to the Crue a whole lot these days . You’re gonna think I’m crazy but I like Poison a bit more .
  • 6:24 "Use or Lose It" is a banger, if only for Tommy's drumming! Fun video: thank you... Probably sentimental on my part, but Shout at the Devil is #1

Great list. I agree that Generation Swine was horrible. I only bought it to complete my collection. Their self titled album is underrated. It definitely sounds much different then all of the other Crue albums. Much heavier and darker but the record is fantastic. Of all of Motley Crue's songs Use it or Lose it, Looks that Kill and Dancing on Glass are my favorites. Awesome list as usual. Keep on rockin. I don't recall if you've done this, but a review of Judas Priest albums would be excellent.
  • Great video. I agree with you about Motley with Corabi. It’s a great album! I have to be in the very rare opinion of liking Generation Swine. It’s still in my opinion still the 2nd worst but I do like it.
