One day, back in 2010, I heard this song on the radio with my brother. Me and my brother weren't that impressed with the song until we heard the growl. I didn't catch the name of the song nor the band until a few weeks later. I looked up the band on the internet and I found out that Skillet is a Christian rock band. I told my brother about it later that day, and he didn't believe me. A week later, me and my brother heard "Hero" on the radio, which convinced my brother that I was right. He also likes other songs from the Awake album, such as "It's Not Me, It's You" and "Lucy". The one that stood out the most (besides "Monster") was "Awake and Alive". He even had his then girlfriend sing the chorus of "Awake and Alive" on a school bus, and it impressed everyone on board. I occasionally listen to Skillet to this very day, and lord knows that my brother still listens to them too.
