Due to several comments asking for a decent quality version of this clip, I'm pleased to offer the full HD version of Henri Herbert's performance on the public piano at St Pancras International railway station for your viewing pleasure.

I uploaded the original as a low bit rate, low resolution quickie, due to having a lousy internet connection where I was at the time. A big regret now, given that the clip went crazy viral - but how was I to know??

So here it is, Boogie Woogie sensation Henri Herbert in full HD 1080p glory, along with a slightly remixed audio - a little more of the ambient camera sound, because the disbelievers out there are convinced this was over-dubbed, somehow. As well as the camera built in (rubbish) audio, I placed a Zoom H4n stereo recorder just behind the piano to record good quality sound with less of the background noise audible, to later synch in post production. This resulted in also picking up the sound of broken strings inside the piano, which many people are convinced is the sound of a hidden percussionist somewhere, playing a hi-hat, and therefore it must be an overdub fake studio recording setup or something!

It's shaky here and there, because I had planned to intercut my shots with those of a colleague filming on his phone (he can be seen in some shots), and therefore moved around for some different angles in the 'crowd'. However, he didn't film the whole performance and I ended up simply whacking the whole thing up on youtube as I'd filmed it. Sure, it's not the best advert for my camera operating skills, but apart from one or two haters, some 30 million people don't seem to mind too much.

This has to be in England. Nowhere else would you get such a non-reaction to such a ridiculous display of talent.
  • I’ve watched this probably 15 times and don’t get tired of how talented he is. Wish people near him would say something or at least clap in response for completely entertaining them at such a high level!! Wow!!
  • How could you just walk by someone playing like this. I would have missed my plane.

So sad for Sabine Giannamore for not arriving in time to hear to this masterpiece
  • …mind-blowingly full bodied boogie woogie ….all that deadwood around can’t even clap when they hear a once in a lifetime live performance by a true virtuoso..! This incredible pianist plays regularly somewhere….I’d-like to see him live!

I love these guys. They build a super backbeat very much like the 50s and 60s rock and roll. I'm 74 years old and this music makes me feel young again. I bought a Bose Blutooth speaker just so I could pair my phone with it and I can listen to The Refreshments all day inside or outside... I love it!
  • how the hell could you not give that kind of talent 100% attention?????

Signs of a broken society - when artistic talent goes almost unnoticed. Barely an emotional reaction.
  • I’m 88 . And my old feet could not stop moving. God love him.

Amazing...that those people ignore such fantastic playing, they must be devoid of soul!!
  • Had the great pleasure of seeing Henri perform at the "100 Club" in Oxford Street, London yesterday - Oct 26th '23. Massive eneregy, enthusiasm , and brilliance all round. Can't wait until he plays here again in London - probably not until a year's time though :(

Here I sit in my wheelchair at 3:50am (10-27-2019) in the morning in a nursing home I stay at. I live in Chicago, Illinois. I am watching and listening to Henri H jam on the piano. His playing is giving me goosebumps. Despite my name, If we didn't have the BOOGIE WOOGIE first, we sure in the heck would not have any Metal. Go Man Go! Love all of his boogie-woogie videos. Can't get enough!

My god, I wish I had half the talent this man possesses in one finger. Bloody brilliant
  • @rexstetson1717
This is my favorite piano performance of all time. It makes me so happy every time I see and hear it.
  • @johneller5856
How can people just stand there and not be blown away??? Well done Henri!!!!!
  • @maria_caitlin
Legends say that man is still waiting for Sabine Giannamore

I've watched this video over a hundred times, over the years and the one thing that always gets me is how all these people stand around and don't respond to the music! I can't stop moving my feet and head every time I listen! I'm bopping in my seat! I don't get it!
  • Great pianist.. Most people are just deaf, or have no understanding of the talent they're just walking by. No time to just stop and take a moment out of their lives to appreciate what's in front of them.
