I mean the poses for Steven at the beginning could use a lot of work, and I liked how you showed us Steven trying to fight back the glitch but ultimately failing I give this a 8.5 .

0:45 I love how it's implied that steven didn't even corrupt Connie, he KILLED her. And got peridot and amethyst corrupted in the process. I also liked how steven just went into an unbridled rage until he began having flashbacks of his meltdown in future as well as seeing emethyst peridot and pearl behind his sheild, nothing more but empty husks of their former selves.

This is just amazing. 1:01 That line is amazing. Steven is trying to fight this Darkness but it ends up consuming him to the darkness and when he sees that his friends get corrupted he thinks he's the monster, but he's not.

Honestly, the Pibby darkness would be Steven's worst nightmare, far worse than anything else he's faced before. Its one thing for a good man to fail to save those he cares for. Its another for his hand to be the one forced to strike them all down. Real talk, I can tell you're inexperienced (Obviously), but none of it was bad at all, and that bit where Steven was knocked back faltering at the idea of using his own power against his corrupted friends was just, MWAH, great. I especially the implied details that he killed Connie instead of corrupting her, and that motivated his fury against the corruption for a moment. Honestly, when the actual Pibby show comes out, I hope we get to see various characters in situations like this, even if its spin off episodes or something. I think your strongest talent in animation right now is fast fluid movement, personally.

It feels strange to watch cartoon characters as old as Steven or SpongeBob get corrupted and turn against their people. Outstanding work, man!

This is the best Steven universe animation I’ve seen in a while

I honestly feel his(animators + leader) talent is the motion but at the same time how he implies things, in the SpongeBob one, how he does their faces and expressions encapsulates the emotions perfectly with the situation and this is no different; we see Steven figuratively fighting his inner demons coming out as his moral principles fight one another as he literally fights against the corruption AND his own friends, ALL AT ONCE If that doesn’t impress you with the sheer amount of effort and storytelling this/these guy(s) put(s) into his/their animations, I don’t know what to say And for those who saw this video and thought, “the frick did I just watch?”, you need to catch up with all the media involved in this and THEN, you’ll understand the horrifying brilliance that is this diamond-in-the-rough video paired with it’s perfectly tuned music to match the story this animatic is telling us(same level of compliments with SpongeBob’s one) Sorry if I went so far, I was just fricking SENT with this… GOD I can’t have enough of the storytelling, the plot, the matching music with the tone of the story(same with SpongeBob’s one, that one sent SHIVERS of how good it was), just… all of this

This is DEFINITELY ONE OF YOU'RE MOST BANGER ANIMATION OUT OF THEM ALL can't wait to see more

Omg I love it and how there’s so much story and how Steven is trying to fight in his mind I see how in the sprung bob episode there was broken gems it makes so much sense now will the crystal gyms be coming back. Love your animation was worth the wait

I actually think he made this animation before You’ll make a change because, he was trying to make more sense of how Steven got corrupted. Cause people can’t get corrupted for no reason. He wanted to make this so he can show what Steven did or survive for his last minutes before he gets corrupted.

coming back to this a few years later and "here we are in the future" really hits diffrent.

He fought until he couldn’t he is a true warrior …. Rip Steven he will be missed

It’s so sad to see what kind of misery the Corruption brings

im sad for the fact this would happen, steven would start winning but his self dout and hatred for himself would be his downfall by making the virus stronger, i really hope steven has another chance to win and help bf cause his steven lol and his power of healing any wond would help them in later dilemas

Make more of this PLEASE. This has story and this just looks so nice.

I love how Steven's gem pink diamond corruption is able to push the pibby corruption back at first, but then he see's that he is becoming the very thing he's fighting. A monster Also great animation just needs a few tweaks here and there but all in all 10/10😎👏
