Great to see Mateychuk doing well. I've traded for him for years cause I really liked him in junior, but he's always busted for me. That prospect goalie should definitely be the backup-- goalies become great when they are high rated when young (lots have high potential but don't make it). He was 77 at 19 which is insane; you've gotta keep him on the best development path.

Awesome series. You should do a video with the 2024 1st round picks and see how long till they win a cup. Grab the first 12 to 15 fwd, 8 dmen. This way u got a couple extra cuz u kno how weird players grow. I dont think theres any goalies, so just grab the first 2 that pop up.

Don’t forget to move up the draft quality

Can you try to trade for a franchise player in your last season? Its hard but you can trade a lot of valuable assets (medium elite players, 85+ players, ect) for very valuable assets (90+ players draft picks from bad teams) and then flip those for a franchise player like Makar or Hughes. Since Calgary doesn't have one I think it would be cool to get one in the last year and the only other way to get a franchise player is from the draft.
