Understanding True Repentance | Voddie Baucham Short sermon.

Amen! I was a catholic growing up.. I’m a retired Baltimore officer. We were never encouraged to read the Bible. Last year I had what I can only refer to as an intercession by the Holy Spirit. I was sitting on my couch and a thunderstorm started (i live in San Antonio). I was compelled to go outside (no voices in my head or anything- can’t explain the ‘need’ to go outside. I sat under my covered porch and began to suddenly cry. Then I wailed. thankfully the storm was loud, otherwise the neighbors might drop a welfare check in the lap of the 911 dispatcher! There were no thoughts in my head and then I thought of Jesus and God. Hard to describe, but I was empty of thoughts but so full of thoughts. I believe the Holy Spirit was dusting out my cobwebs and helping me focus on He who really matters….I sat for a while wailing then I walked into the driving rain- no voices urging me…(no way of explaining my actions!!). I stood there in a dodgy storm unconcerned about the lightning. After i came inside, I wanted the Word of God and Jesus. I sat and watched John Mac Arthur and your videos. I was thirsty for the Word. Now I’m attending a doctrinally sound church - of which I’m a new official member! I read my Bible daily and am LOVING Jesus, my God and those around me. Soon, I hope to be baptized! The Holy Spirit can and will intercede. He has for me much like Romans 8:26. I was in great need and received the best gift I’ve ever been given.

I hope it's not just me, but when someone preaches the Word of God, how sweet it is.

OH AND HOW I HATE MY SIN FOR WHAT I WANT TO DO I DON'T AND WHAT I DON'T I DO. PRAISE CHRIST ALMIGHTY WHO SAVED US BY HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD!!!!

Please pray for me brothers and sisters my flesh is trying to take over please pray that I’d just trust God with my life and not so the works of the flesh

This some good preaching! The crowd is laughing but it really is like the matrix 💯. If you don’t have the Holy Spirit you are 2/3 or your person. You’re just flesh, soul, & a dead spirit. You’re 666. We need the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ to be born again. Don’t be spiritually dead so you can be aware of what’s going on behind the scenes & take it seriously. The flesh only cares about the world & the things of the world is very VAIN & very irrelevant when it comes to the eternity of your SOUL! We’re not here by chance 🤦🏽‍♀️ no way 💯. That is why Jesus died for us so we don’t perish ! Only HE can save us from ourselves 🙌🏽

I love to hear Rev. Baucham preach. He NEVER strays from the Word of God one iota and his speech reaches depths that could only be inspired by the Holy Spirit. He and a few others are a breath of fresh air in a world filled with snake oil salesmen.

I'm glad you said "we were under his influence". Those who belong to Jesus are no long slave to sin. We are free so therefore do not sin, do not be a sinner, do not be under the influence of the world.

Thank you Voddie for teaching this. I struggle so much with my sin nature, I sit here with tears in my eyes. Please Lord help me

Sin is and will always be e the problem, its what separated men from walking with God. And you can repent until you're blue in the face, if you don't understand where you stand in Christ, you're lost.

There will be a time when we no longer will have the privilege of listening to pastors like Voddie, John and Paul, who preach true biblical doctrine...about sin repentance and faith alone, on this site and other popular social media sites. The persecution of christian is happening more as time goes on. They will be replaced by progressive liberal ones who will preach what the world wants to hear
