Sonic Pound - blueberryseason

Egress into a Dream

Released on: 01/01/2009

Performed, Composed, Engineered by Arthur Medrano with help from Matt W. inspired by Ezra Pound
Lyrics by Arthur Medrano
Self-Published, Self-Produced

**Album #4 ** I tried to release everything as quickly as possible but I couldn't stop the flooding out of insecurities seeping into my lyrics. Abstractions turned concrete - songs pouring out from all sides - I had to release the b-sides of the original albums but maybe as an album? Losing track of which song was written when, I cast a wide net and birthed awkwardness from forced stability. I had to move on.

15 – Sonic Pound

Verse 1
what thou lovest well remains
the rest is dross
what thou lovest well shall not be reft from thee
what thou lovest well is thine true heritage
whose world? is it mine or theirs?

first came the seen, then thus the palpable
Elysium though it were in the halls of hell
what thou lovest is thine true heritage
what thou lovest well is thy, things that are
not reft from thee

Bridge
you're the tea bubbling in my canteen
you're the blood bleeding blight
I could never go around
I just had to plow right through

Verse 2
what though lovest well remains
the rest is dross

Bridge 2
but one day I froze up
just like that
but one day I froze up
just like that

Verse 3
what thou lovest well remains
the rest is dross
what thou lovest well shall not be reft from thee
