Hey! Welcome to a new adventure!
In this video, I'm reaching the top of Marmolada, the queen of Dolomites (highest mountain of Dolomites - 3343m)

With the first little snowfall of the year, the track was a little bit more complicated than usual, and I had to climb the via ferrata slower than I expected.
But the hospitality of Carlo Budel at Capanna Punta Penia was amazing. The view of Dolomites from up there is extraordinary.

Dedicated to the victims of Marmolada glacier collapse in July 2022. Rest in Peace.

My father climbed the Marmolada when he was only nine years old. Together with his two years older brother, his father and mother. They had booked an Italian mountain guide for this trip, but he doubted whether it was a good idea to take such young children up. My grandfather explained it a bit and said: “They can climb well, my boys already have a lot of experience with hiking in the mountains despite their age”. The guide hesitated but turned a blind eye. On the way they had to cross a large ice bridge on the glacier. My grandfather asked the guide how strong it was, the guide replied: "I expect that this bridge will not be there next week or the week after". So they walked over the bridge, my grandfather was the back of the rope group and behind him the ice bridge collapses. All in all it was the best climb my father has made.

I just have to say… As someone who has fought his own mental health and thoughts for years, your videos bring me peace. Normally seeing the top of a mountain immediately makes me want to make the leap, but your videos not only show the top of the mountains but also calm me down and make realize there are other reasons for being all the way up there… Thank you
  • There's no way I could attempt such a hike myself, since I am a senior. Thank you for sharing it with us.
  • Absolutely gorgeous country. Those views along with the perfect music was epic. Thank you for sharing this to us.

Dolomites is still one of my favorite places on this planet. The peaks are just so unique. Last time I was there, Marmolad sadly already hat to much snow and ice but I did multiple tours on the sub-3000 peaks arround it and its always an iconic landmark.
  • Nice video and efforts! Brought to me some memories when I climbed Marmolada 3 years ago and had the honor to stay the night with the Austrian mountaineer Hansjörg Auer, who sadly died only months after with David Lama and Jess Roskelley on the descent after reaching the summit of Howse Peak in Banff National Park of the Canadian Rockiesq, three of the best Alpinists in the world. R.I.P to them and also those who died in Marmolada <3
  • " on top " is an understatement . one wrong step in any direction and finito . what a spectacular place!
  • ERRORS: there are some errors in the tracked mountain names. My team and I did some mistakes with that. Sorry! There is an unstabilized clip with the Adobe Premiere banner. Looks terrible, I know. Sorry for that too! Hope you enjoy the video anyways :)

Love this video and can’t wait to watch more. New subscriber from the US. We spent our honeymoon in the Dolomites, as well as our 1-year, 5-year and 10-year anniversaries! Time to start planning our next anniversary trip for 2024.

Thank you very much Bruno! You brightened my afternoon in Santiago with a strong summer sun. You don't know how much I enjoyed the panoramic shots from the top of the queen. In addition to a precious video, it is more than valuable cartographic material. Thanks again and keep sharing your experiences in the Dolomites!
  • This is one of the most beautiful video I've ever seen! Well done 👍 👏

My anxiety level at the highest peak watching him (Carlo) casually talking at the edge of the cliff, with the back at that big gap, with ice under his feet

The best view in dolomites. I've been at the end of August 2022 and was an unforgettable hiking day. Your editing is awesome, great video making in wonderful mountains and great hiking
