Hey guys, in this video I make Shinobu's Katana from Demon Slayer. Definitely one of the most unique swords from the whole series. 5160 high carbon steel, brass fittings, and a poplar wood handle.

  • Shinobu has a pretty flimsy musculature, and this sword exemplifies that very well. It is so light and has such a small cutting blade that it is unable to cut through things as well as regular swords. But in the show, it is coated with a poisonous material deadly to demons.

YES!! A FULL BLADE!! This is the best Shinobu blade I have seen so far.

It turned out beautiful!! Making Shinobu's katana must have cost a lot to make, but with hard work he managed to make it. It has my respect.

Must admit, to see that finished sword in real, shows how beautiful it actually is. Well done, great craftsmanship.

The fact that this doesn't have millions of views is ridiculous. You're so talented. Wish I was rich so I could get you to make swords lol

ur making me want to buy a real demon slayer katana ._.
  • the rest of the blade is amazing, but the thing that always impresses me the most is watching someone do the handle wrap
  • Shinibu puts the phrase fly like a butterfly sting like a bee to a reality also good job on the blade
  • @itsanyyy
This is really really good! At the end, you can see how beautiful the sword is. Beautiful work!
  • This is so coooolll omygod. When you start making the butterfly brass fittings I knew its gonna be beautiful!

Imagine that your work for a ancient age would be a piece of art
  • Imagine hearing ARA ARA behind you while holding the sword πŸ˜‚

With the focus on a pointed tip, I'd imagine the style best suited for the type of sword would be french or classical fencing with a preference to pokes and slight slash/poke combinations to make use of it's pointed cutting edge. The whole point of Shinobu's style of cutting was just enough to get the poison into the body sort of speak so perhaps some testing with applying dyes to see it's feasibility instead of the clean cuts that most people use katanas for. Curious if the system can be approved by just extending the length of the blade.

Pretty sure the sword was made for thrusting so the cutting part at the end felt wrong to me but broooo thats some good sword making skills you got there, the sword itself looks fricking awesome.
