This album completely changed my outlook on music, and what was capable within an album. I wish the guys from Mastodon knew how much this album means to me.

Whenever aliens find the remnants of our long lost civilization, I hope they find Mastodon and save their music in their museums as we do to epics like Gilgamesh.

Mastodon crams more outrageously brilliant music in this one song than most other bands do in their entire discography.

7:35 is one of the most titanic passages of metal music I have ever heard. This album is so immaculately arranged.

Just went to their show in Boston. They played this whole album, and then a few more songs. But I wondered.. how are they gonna follow Baron? They went with Blood and Thunder and all my internal organs high fived each other

This album is their Opus magnum. And this song is the culmination of it. It's like a mystical dream.

Just heard an interview with Bill ward on eddie trunk from 2009 and bill suggested this song he said it's brilliant. Who can argue with a founding member of black sabbath.

I've been listening to this for 13 years and it's still my favorite song. Does anybody else but me appreciate this masterpiece as much as I do? I don't know anyone that loves this song. It's a tragedy!
