  • My idea on why they opted to show the cameras behind the scenes is that in order to progress to the love stage, you must also see what's behind the person you like.

Fun Joke: The reason why the beginning of this song is short is because there is a lyrics “3 seconds is enough” in LOVE DIVE, I heard of it from somewhere which I can’t rmb but that’s ✨CHEF’S KISS✨
  • It could've been great if they did "After Like" before "Love Dive" It would have been a great transition from Like to Love

The digging you do is always so cool, because most people usually just uses kpop reactions as a stage to gain fame but you are one of those reactionist that LITERALLY takes a dive before you make a video and I think that's why your video took a bit longer yet are highly anticipated. You breakdown and notice stuffs even I don't notice, so yeah, you're a great person!
  • I love how he’s like “idk I’m not a cinematographer” and then proceeds to give us a whole freaking lesson on camerawork and shutter speeds and directing.

I was just enjoying their latest comeback but now I learned how is it conceptualized like that and also technical terms like color bars, lens distortion, lens flare, vfs trackers, and more. thank you jordan as always! always taking notes of video editing terms and techniques while enjoying k-pop.

Your theory makes complete sense! In ‘ELEVEN’ they meet the character or the boy In ‘LOVE DIVE’ they are curious about him and wants to know.. They started liking him Now, in ‘After LIKE’ they are now asking him “What’s after LIKE?” WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH NEARLY 500 LIKES?
  • The reason for the behind-the-scenes theme is because you're diving into IVE's world and watching the MV in person. That's why the intro and outro feel like you dove in and out of your new color TV, which became standard in household homes in the 70s around the release of "I will survive." There's a complete lore breakdown by a channel called Doyouram. All three IVE MVs are interconnected and were planned from their "Have What We Want" pre-debut preview trailer. The theme is narcissus and RGB add-it-IVE colors.
  • I think it's started this way: 1. They wanted to make an epic ending of an MV with frickin massive fireworks. 2. The problem is, fireworks cost a lot of money. 😂 So they only had 1 frickin chance to take a shot fr fr. 3. And since they're using a massive amount of fireworks, they need to find a way to shot that only moment with different angles. 4. Fireworks need a really wide shot to capture them all in. But then they also need a close-up shot for the sake of the members visual. 5. To achieve that, they can't find any way but to use wide angle and close up camera at the same time. As the result, the close up camera is captured in the wide angle camera frame. 6. "Now how about let's just use that as a behind the scene concept in every shot so the audience won't notice." Lmao idk what's wrong with my mind. 🤣

He always points things out I would have never thought about, its really interresting. Appreciate the effort, keep going with the great content mate
  • @Raphael-2
I never thought about the reasons behind the choice of showing the cameras in the music video, I just thought they did this to make something different and because it looked cool. But now I wonder why I haven't questioned this more. Actually I never really care about the meaning in kpop songs, so I didn't care this time either. Aligning the meaning of the song and the meaning of the artistic choices in the video when it is rather hidden is so great. edit: unrelated but it's cool to know that After Like is actually sampling Supreme by Robbie Williams for the interpolation of I Will Survive!
  • @kkyutie3
actually the sample of I will survive and the concept of the mv are connected. as you can see, the mv starts with the color bars. each of the the girls' solo scenes represent one of the 6 colours from the rgb scheme (we see green, red, blue, yellow, cyan and bright pink). and when all of the girls are together the scene and the outfits are black and white, because this is what you get when you mix the main colours, right? the sample of I will survive also ties to this concept. the song came out when the coloured tv started to become more and more popular, and so everyone was switching from b&w to the coloured one. that's why we see all this colours in the music video 😊

What's good about stanning IVE is that every member has something unique to offer. You can freely choose your bias bc u know they are all that good.
  • I also feel like it could be the opposite, i think cameras being shown respresents them moving from like to love because when you're only in like, you'll hestiate to show the parts of you that aren't perfect but when you're in love, you open yourself up fully, allowing that other person to see everything, thus instead of just showing a perfect music video, they're showing you everything that goes into making that music video.
  • its really refreshing to finally watch someone that talks editing. and not just as a passing topic but an actual conversation that doesnt shy away with the jargons.
  • @vinhhuyle5850
I think "Like" is a perfect stage when you see a person in their greatest form and personality. And when moving into the next step "Love", their hidden aspects might be revealed, it may be less perfect and flourishing than expected. Once you accept those imperfections, your love will be fulfilled.
