I work in IT and we always talk about over engineering things. Going down a rabbit hole and getting lost trying to fix something by over complicating the solution. I feel like people over engineer life. Eat healthy whole foods, go on some walks, surround yourself with people you love. That's really all there is to it.

They also had less stress and good family community, clean air no pesticides etc

The biggest causes of illness and health issues are stress and lack of loving connections with true friends.

ITS NOT JUST THE FOOD! Environment and culture are HUGE in this story!
  • It's not longevity I want to achieve, but being healthy and capable of looking after myself whilst I'm still alive. My worst nightmare would be to end up in a nursing home because I just can't seem to die.

Yea food helps a lot! But community is so important as well, there’s been studies that show this!

Food helps greatly, but family and happiness is the secret

Anyone going from the SAD to Any diet consisting of real whole foods is going to see results.

secrets of longevity won’t be determined by the diet only....it includes the environment, stress level, and so on.....

He's right. I only have a few good friends, but most of those friends don't live in my state. Everyone is so concerned about being paid for being popular that just trying to keep up a high following is stressful and that ages people. I'm 40 and I look younger than my 28 year old coworker.

There are families and children now pretty much living solely on fast food! That couldn't be good for anyone. Also, many children have NEVER sat down to a family dinner. "Community" has got to start at home and branch out.

It must be a combination of food, life style and environment.
  • The term diet is misleading! It’s a plant based, whole food way of life.

I love this lifestyle. Don’t feel like it’s a diet. Thx Maria and Dan 🦋💙

Most healthy diets work if you stay with it. It’s a lifestyle change, not a “trendy” change moving on from one to another.

Stress, physical efforts, connection, community, environment factor in as well not just the food.
