Bobby's a natural born Bard, his Charisma is at least a +4 at age 13. The idea that he couldn't deal with a job like this is ridiculous.
-
Hank's biggest problem isn't really with Peter's job, it's that Bobby didn't WANT to do the shadowing with Hank. Hank is jealous.
-
"If you have to lie to make a point seem valid, maybe it's not a good point" is a fantastic moral
-
The irony of Peggy telling Hank that he should let Bobby make his own decisions when she controls Luanne’s life
-
This episode basically made me appreciate the unsung heroes that keep things running and clean not just the dog cleaner but trashman repairman etc . Someone has to do the dirty jobs.
-
"Ninety percent dogs, ten percent other!" Yet another King of the Hill line that has aged disturbingly well...

I think Dale is saving face while Bill and Boomhauer would genuinely accept it. Bill is so desperate for love he'd accept a son no matter what. Boomhauer is chill enough to not care as long as it's not illegal or dangerous. Dale has a weird sense of pride where he's never ashamed of himself but will look down on others for just about anything.
-
It's still an amazing subversion that Bobby being weird as fuck just has the most unspoken rizz compared to Hank.
-
Fun Fact: Johnny Knoxville(VA for Peter) and Mike Judge are actually friends which lead to Judge shoving something up a man’s ass for jackass 2.5 and Knoxville voicing Peter in this episode and some other guests appearances
-
"My son's a dweeb and a loser. Please don't give him hope he could be financially well off and happy. This show has a status quo to maintain and we can't make that big of a change." "Really? Cause Bobby having a season or two of trying to make a career around school could-" "MAINTAIN. THE STATUS. QUO."
-
Honestly, Bobby's plan of cleaning up vomit was not that bad. In cities like Miami, New York, or L.A. having someone to clean up vomit at parties, clubs, bars, or even cars is pretty useful, especially if they can do it quickly and upper-scale venues would definitely pay a lot for it.
-
You would figure that Peggy wouldn’t be so freaked out about waste. After all, she grew up on a horse ranch in Montana.
-
I love that Peter is voiced by Johnny Knoxville and they throw him down a hill in a porta potty at the end.
-
I imagine shady has a case labeled 'break in case of emergency' and inside is King of the Hill episodes to cover.

"Entremeneur" got me good.
-
The advice that Bobby got when he was working at the racetrack is the exact same talk that he got from the entrepreneur dude which was to find the thing that nobody wants to do and do it. It's wild how this parallels
-
There was also the time when Hank said he isn't worried about Bobby getting bullied because every time it's about to happen, he sticks French fries up his nose and makes a new friend. Then there's the speech about Bobby being like mush and unable to be broken down. Hank is ashamed of his real reasoning, yet not ashamed enough to back off.
-
as with most parents of his era, hank doesnt hate the money he hates the status, which is weird bc he sells propane
-
When I first saw Hank's reaction to Bobby's job, my initial reaction was that that he was "looking down at those lesser than him", like a plumber or an electrician, it's a job that's beneath him and he's too good for it. Speaking as a guy studying to be an electrical technician, I'm told we'll get a lot of that, but that we'll also be making more monwy than most people, which would explain Peter's success; his job's important and no one wants to do it
-
Hank: I don’t think my son is as charming and good looking as you. Can you ask him to quit.
